- Wedding: June 2013
I have been just a ball of stress lately (grad school applications, wedding planning, money, possibly moving soon!), but I’m happy to say I have something to gush about right now.
So Fiance and I were originally planning a rather large (for us, at least) evening wedding with 120+ people on the invite list. It was going to be at a local music venue that we both loved and came with everything we would need, with lots of alcohol and food and good times to be had by pretty much everyone we know. We were cutting corners left and right to make everything fit into the budget we layed out, but we overestimated how much we would have. We didn’t want to go into debt, so we nixed our earlier plans.
We trimmed our guest list a ton, and are now at 57 people. We decided to move our date from Saturday, September 7 to Friday, September 13 (the date we originally wanted since it has more meaning to us with my parents married on Friday the 13th and his grandparents married on the 13th as well, but it didn’t work with the music venue we liked). We are now planning to do a morning ceremony at a beautiful park, and then head to a local brewery three blocks away for a brunch reception. It’s ridiculous how much all of my original plans have changed, but I’m so excited for our new ones. Everyone I’ve told has been supportive and thinks it will be awesome. Here are some pictures of the ceremony site and reception venue:
