Wait, are you engaged to the guy in this thread?

If so, this wanting to change the ring is not just about the ring.  Like the other Bees said you can’t just run out and change your ring every time something goes wrong.

And as far as your ring looking like the ex’s, well, it is a solitaire.  Most solitaires look really similar to me.  If you’re both on board with changing it, then I would jsut get it reset.

Mrsb915 :  My Fiance did the same thing.  My first e-ring was the same as his first wife’s ring  except I had white gold instead of yellow like hers.  The only reason I had white gold was because I insisted on it otherwise he was going to purchase yellow gold.  Since round solitaires are so popular there will probably be a fair number of future brides with the same complaint. We purchased a fancy shape diamond and set it a couple of years later for my new ring.

Mrsb915 :  I mean…they’re both diamond solitaires.  As is mine.  And a million other women.  It’s the most common e-ring style, so I wouldn’t take that personally.  It’s what a lot of men think of as an engagement ring.
