My fi have the same situation whereby our father’s have remarried, so I’m always saying “I spoke to my dad and stepmumsname today…” and he says the same.

So we’d never call each other’s stepmothers “mum” and we usually say “are we seeing your dad” when we refer to the others. However, I would like to start calling fi’s dad “dad” since I think it’s sweet. I call his sister, my sister and his brother my brother.

You know? I think it’s a personal choice, but if you’re a bit stuck at the moment just ask them. They’ll either say they don’t mind or they’ll say they’d rather you kept it as it is. They won’t disown you! 🙂

Hmm, I don’t think I could ever call my Future In-Laws “mom” or “dad.”  That is reserved for my parents.  Currently, I don’t call them anything, lol.  I’ll say “your mom/dad” when Fiance and I are talking.  When we are all together, I just don’t really call them anything.  I guess in the future I will refer to them as their first names.

I dont think I could ever call anyone other than my parents Moo or Dad. It would just feel weird for me personally. I call FI’s parents by there first names and he calls mine by there first names also
