Hello Bees~
First off, I want to tell you all that I’m getting married in oahu and I’m sort of in a delimma.. I went wedding dress shopping awhile ago and found a dress.. This dress has a story behind it because i tried like a billion dresses on and than I got to this particular dress and I’m not kidding you everyone at the store got quite and people behind me were crying.. It was craziness and people that I didn’t know but they we’re like you found your wedding dress! And I mean I had a daughter made at her mom because she cried while I tried on my wedding dress but didn’t when she was trying hers on. So it was this huge ordeal at the store and I looked at myself a couple times in the mirror invisioning myself in this dress and I could see it.. It looked great on me ๐ I fell in love with it the moment everyone else did. So, here is my delimma I’m scared that with the dress I already bought and purschased is going to be to hot or to much when I get married in May and I’m freaking out about it because I’m thinking my pictures aren’t going to turn out great or video bc I’ll be sweating out there… I’m but it’s not to heavy just alot of tulle layers I think that’s what it’s made with. But than I been searching for lighter dresses and seeing if I fall in love with something else and of course I did. Ahhh I don’t think I should have done that but it’s so beautiful and I wanted beading in mine but couldn’t find one at the stores I been at.. Here are the two dresses! I know there two different looks but help me please make the right descision because I’m stuck!

If you’re worried about the heat, I think that just about any long dress is going to be toasty in May. I’ve just accepted the fact that I’ll be sweating for my July wedding no matter what. ๐
In terms of which dress I like better…it’s hard because I don’t know you or your style or your body type. I personally am more drawn to the first dress, but that’s more my style.
What are your concerns about your original dress, aside from the heat?

Maggei Sottero’s beaded lace dresses are HOT and HEAVY. I think the organza one will probably be much lighter and floatier for a beach wedding to be honest.
Is there anything else about the first dress you don’t like, or do you just like the second one better? If you are really drawn to lace and beading, I am sure you could find a light one, but you should definitely try that on to see what I mean. I am a multi-dress bride, so I completely endorse going with your gut, but it sounds like you truly loved your dress at first. Why the second guessing?

Thanks ladies ๐ that helped me out alot. I was really second guessing myself. Well I wanted a little UMPH to my dress and I been looking at sashes on etsy but I just can’t find one that would dress it up a little I want to sparkle on my wedding day but not go to overboard or heavy on it I want it to look elegant but modern with my first dress ๐ I have like a hourglass shape people have told me so of course when I get it fitted to me it’ll bet tighter on me maybe that’s what’s making me think otherwise. And I just wanted to alter it someway I’m thinking maybe changing the back to tie in the back instead of having it be a zipper and changing it into a sweetheart neckline to give it a little bit of a little something something to it to better suit my style, I just want my fiance’ to be just as awe’d at looking at me as I walked down the aisle towards him and be like “WOW” I want the wow factor.. But what do you think if I did the alterations to the first dress should I do that? It’ll make it more modern..Please write back.

Don’t stress honey. You’re oscilatting back and forth and you need to focus on somehting else. It’s just “did I make the right choice jitters?” Your dress is lovely. Forget changing necklines and adding shashes. If you want, wear blingy earrings. If you are happy inside, he will think you are lovely even if you are wearing a rag. Really!!
A zipper is fine, a corset is more work.
Don’t drink alcohol the night before, keep hydrated, wear a deoderant which gives you added protection — Secret has one ask the pharmacist. Speak to your doctor and ask him/her if he/she can perscribe an anti persperent. They have these things which can help you cut down on the swets that day. Try it before the wedding to make sureyou don’t have an alleric reaction.
Best of luck.
