Another vote for your original dress, I absolutely love the fabric, it’s so unique and it looks gorgeous on you. In my opinion dress one is ‘Wow’ and dress two is lovely, but not as special.

I was worried to comment because you need to do what makes you happy, but wow that first dress… You are beautiful and could wear anything (the second is gorgeous too). But that first dress is just spectacular. I would definitely gasp (in the best way) seeing the bride walk out in that!

girlandherpearl :  I love them both; you have a great figure! But I honestly like the first one better. The second one is gorgeous too, but something about the first one really caught my eye.

Another vote for the first dress.  It is flattering and gives more definition to your waist.

I find the slit on the second dress awkward and distracting and even with the belt it seems boxy.

I would just keep working on alterations on the first dress personally.

The first dress does something for you that the second dress doesn’t IMO.

girlandherpearl :  I understand your struggle! I’m going through the same dilemma. Already bought a dress, and now having doubts. I’m taking my time now, and going to try on lots of different dresses so I can avoid making an impulsive decision.

Honestly, both dresses look stunning on you. They are both so gorgeous in different ways. Which dress do you feel better in? More comfortable in? More beatiful in?

When I was talking to my best friend about my dress doubts she put it like this: which dress can you envision walking down the aisle to the love of your life in? Which dress can you picture holding hands and professing your love in? That really helped me decide. Good luck! No matter the dress you will make a gorgeous bride!

girlandherpearl :  honestly? i think your original gown is more flattering on you. you mentioned that you have a “rectangle body” – that is accentuated in the fitted gown. not to be mean, but you just look like a column. imo, fitted dresses look best when you have a pretty large hip-to-waist ratio because they accentuate curves. unfortunately, they don’t CREATE curves that aren’t there.

as for your original gown, i see no side boob, but i do see cleavage. that’s easily enough remedied – your seamstres should be able to stitch it closed a bit/add more lace so it’s not as deep, etc.

all that said, at the end of the day, YOU are wearing the gown, not me, so it doesn’t really matter what i think.

Well, the smile on your face is a mile wide in the pictures of the second dress.  If you really love it that much, then go with that one.  You’re the one that has to feel beautiful and if you’re always going to be self conscious about the first dress, then don’t go with it.

I think the two dresses are very similar and there’s not enough difference in the second for me to say for sure, that’s the one to go with.

I like the first one a lot more. I think it looks great on you and I love the intricate design on it. It is stunning.

girlandherpearl :  I actually think the first dress is far more flattering on you! The top part could definitely be taken in more though. I think the straps could be shortened so the bust is more fitted and lifted. And I would add a piece of ivory fabric in the bust so that it isn’t so revealing.

I think the second dress is beautiful but it doesn’t do your figure justice at all! And I’m not a big fan of the slit. My vote is definitely for the original dress, it’s beautiful on you.

But ultimately, if you love the second dress more and it makes you feel beautiful, you should go with that one. You don’t want to regret sticking with a dress you don’t love as much.

The first one looks amazing you.  I don’t care for #2 on you.

girlandherpearl :  I love dress #1. I had a similar experience–my dress that I tried on in store (clipped) gave me more coverage. Once I ordered it in my size, it was a bit more boob-y. But I just put on some fashion tape and called it a day, haha.

Dress #1 is definitely gorgeous, unique and more timeless in my opinion.
