Dress #1 is so stunning on you. Which dress do you think fits the venue/wedding you’re planning the best? I love both but if it were me I would go for #1!

Also voting for first dress, the contrast with the bold lace pattern is what first struck me. It seems to photograph much better than the second, and it really accents your figure! The second I agree with others, the placement of the slit is weird and though I like the lace it is more muted.
I like your original SO much more , and I think it is actually less revealing than the second . I ‘m not keen on the slit or the very flimsy lingerie- ish bodice of the second.
You could fairly easily fill in the lower reaches of the plunge on the first I think. I don’t see any sideboob problem .
I like the pattern on both dresses! And you look fabulous in both of them!
But from my own experience, I have to warn you something about a split wedding dress! I wear a split wedding dress for my pre-wedding photoshoot. The dress is lovely and simple, and I thought I could show off some legs! In real life, it has no problem at all. BUT BUT BUT in photos, my legs are always out of place or looked weird when I am walking (some of the photos, we took it while we are walking to the camera). And when I am standing, the splits are always too narrow or not wide enough, and it looks like i only have one leg, or visually there is only one leg in the picture…. which is not very lovely as well.
Over all, I still like my split wedding dress, but almost all the photos that I choose for retouch, are upper half-body photos.
I think splits wedding dress could work also but its just that without the split, you will have higher chance of getting better looking pictures without the weird leg. Like when you are walking and standing you will have to be conscious about your leg posture and stuff!
I hope this is helpful! Attached are some of the photos to show you what I am talking about.
This is not the weirdest looking leg in our photos already. xD
This is the one that I look like that I have one leg.
I had to look twice to see the differences in the two dresses! But after looking again, I’m another vote for the original dress. I just love how the A-line makes your waist look! If you’re uncomfortable with the deep plunge, you can always see if the seamstress can add a bit more lace at the neckline to raise the V a bit. It’s gorgous!
I think the new dress is stunning on you. I def agree that the 1st dress is really revealing with the side boob. Second dress is where it’s at! And you’re smiling so much more when you have the second dress on! You glow in it. I’d sell the first one.
I love falling asleep and then waking up to tons of helpful comments from the hive. Thanks, bees! I am going to dive in with individal replies now 🙂
An update: I’m trying to get a meeting with my current seamstress for tomorrow to see what we can do regarding the bodice of the original dress.
Also, I found out that the second dress comes in a slitless version:
Priority one will be what my seamstress can do with my original dress. But as a backup, what do we think about the slitless version, bees?
Well from a quick scan of the comments, it looks like I might be in the minority here but I love the second dress, especially the slitless version! The first one seems to have a thick fabric with a heavy pattern, like a carpet or window drape. The second one is much more delicate and flowy, which is more my style. I also don’t like spaghetti straps so I prefer the shoulders on the second one. But the only opinion that matters is yours! Just chiming in to let you know that you’re not completely alone if you do actually prefer the second one.
I’m in the minority too. I love the slitless second dress. While both dressess are beautiful, I think the material on the first dress looks too thick and stiff.
