Some people love it…I didn’t see a need to spend the money.  The order for me was (1) get certified copy of marriage certificate. (2) get new social security card, (3) get new driver’s license and passport, (4) deal with everything else

@ahavah:  Everything you said.

I’m not married yet, but I’ve already gathered the forms for new social security cards and a passport and filled them out. When I do finally get the certified copy of the wedding certificate, it should be a breeze.

I think that I’ve heard that some companies, like credit card companies, charge you for the name change. Even with that service you will still be charged. It’s supposed to make it “easier” for you to change your name, but I’m a cheapskate and I’d rather prepare for it myself than pay $30 for someone to send me forms that I can print off of the internet.

Very easy!!!! exactly what Ahavah said….. Just keep in mind that some places (MVA here) wanted a copy of our marriage cert. directly from the court. Other then that everything else was easy. I got my SS card in less then a week..

not worth the $30. I only paid $5 for missnowmrs because there was a Groupon half off deal for it and I got another $10 off. I’ve not used it at all and for $5, I’m not really bitching about a waste of money lol

if I paid $30 I’d demand a refund 😛

I just waited for my certified marriage cert copy, went to Social Security, went to DMV, went to bank … and everything else just got dealt with at some point.
