Original plan was a backyard wedding, now it’s a park/community center. FH and Future Brother-In-Law are worried of July Texas Heat, or it might rain, and parking, noise. Which I understand. I spoke to one of the community centers here, and they can rent me a room for $75 an hour, but no alcohol, and no CANDLES. What about my centerpieces? I have not been to a community center here in Fort Worth, I am not sure how I will decorate the room. They will provide the tables and chairs, which is a big relief. Has anyone doing/done theirs on such a venue? If yes how did you decorate.

I’m not doing this, but we considered it. You can do the submersible or fake candles that really aren’t too expensive and make something nice. If the ‘fake’ part bothers you, just make it like a luminary like the in the weddinbee post below.
ie, a flameless light source: http://www.dollartree.com/catalog/search.cmd?form_state=searchForm&keyword=flameless+candle&x=-1362&y=-135
And then put it under beads with a flower (or whatever).
Don’t worry, once you start thinking about it, you’ll come up with all kinds of ideas that suit your style!
