So it turns out I have no abillity at all when it come to this sort of stuff. I want to download some files from weddingdna.com and you have the option of jpg, word, eps or png. They give you two free files with a 7 day trial so before I sign up adn download the file I want, I want to make sure I can change the color. Here’s the file I’m thinking:
but the red isn’t quite the shade I want – I want a darker color. I have th CMYK #’s that I want to change it to…
any ideas??? Thank you!!

Yea, that’s easy. I’m not sure if it’s an option in GIMP. Replace color is what I’d use in photoshop, but you might be able to darken just the shadows or darken the whole thing and then erase the bits that are a darker white.
Anyway, if you can’t figure it out in GIMP send me a message and I’ll do it for you and send the file back. It would seriously take me about 20 seconds to do in PS.
