I really need to stop shopping! I got my dress and I do love it, but I keep going back to this other one that I really love too. Problem is I dont have a way to try it on before hand because the only store around me that carries Lazaro doesnt have a size big enough for me to try. Thats the main reason I didnt order it before. Ive tried on a dress at Davids bridal that was similar but the torso dropped lower. But i still loved the shape and the huge ball gown. I do love my dress I already have but I just cant get this one out of my head. Heres me in my dress and the one Im looking at. I would be getting the Lazaro one without the belt part so it would be totally plain. I have my own sash I would be adding to it instead.

The Lazaro one is gorgeous and my absolute favorite dress I just couldn’t afford it. And actually the belt is my favorite part! I ended up with an Allure ballgown that I love because it has straps and I really need them. Your other dress is really pretty too but if you are really drooling over the other and can afford it then go for it!

Both dresses are really stunning, and you look lovely in the one you purchased! From the pictures it looks like yours is white, whereas the Lazaro is blush. What is it about the Lazaro dress that you can’t get off your mind? If you could try it on once and for all, and you ended up loving it would you change your mind? In my opinion I see elements of similarity in both. Bottom line, you should wear whichever dress makes you happy, it is you and your fiance’s special day!

jss77: Can you afford the Lazaro? Even if the other dress doesn’t sell? Because that’s a possibility. I personally like the Lazaro better but I don’t advise buying a dress without trying it on first. I found a lot of pictures of dresses that I obsessed over… when I actually tried them on, I hated them.

I would get it in ivory. my current is actually ivory its just very light so it looks white almost unless you have it against real white. I actually cant afford the real lazaro one. i found a place online that will make it just how i want it for super cheap. ive ordered thorugh them before so trust them. Since my other dress is never used and only had it a few months I could get a good price off it I think to sell it then use the money towards the new one and still have a ton left over. idk figure that out later. i just always pictured being in a big ball gown ever since i was little and I just love how flowy it is. ive seen it on yes to the dress a few times and i just love it.

i think it really depends on your personal style, and what look you are trying to acheive for your special day. my wedding gown is extremely similar to the Lazaro gown (blush pink, no embellishment, strapless, etc) and for me it is perfect because it gives me freedom to “jazz it up” any which way i want! the dress you bought is beautiful and i think you wear it wonderfully, howver if you are looking for more versatility, or just elegant simplicity, i would say go for the Lazaro gown 🙂 best of luck!

jss77: also i wanted to add, that if you like the Lazaro gown but cant afford to shell out $$$; Davids Bridal has a gown which is very similar to the lazaro one – with no embellishment, that comes in blush, ivory and white for $499! hopefully this is helpful for you

jss77: i understand that! i am actually making a few changes to my gown (possibly adding a detachable lace bolero for the ceremony, and adding a belt) because the sweetheart neckline isnt a true sweetheart, and the waste seam hits at an odd spot on me.

yeh that was the other part, i didnt like the modified sweet heart on it. i have a large bust and it just cut across me weird where i tried on actual sweetheart one and it looked much nicer. that one has a lowered torso on it too so i think on me at least to have this one but up more on the natural waist would be more flattering and make me look like i have a smaller waist. i love how the big ball gown hides my butt/hips where the one i have no is tight in the hips then flows out so it actually accentuates it more
