in my area the typical receiving line is the type where the bride and groom stand in the lobby area of the church and greet guests as the exit the church before the big send off. i have my heart set on doing table visits at our reception in order to have pictures done with all our guests and be more relaxed. how can i communicate this with my guests? i thought of putting something on the programs but wasnt sure if that would be too pushy?

At the very end of your ceremony, before you recess down the aisle, you can have your pastor announce that the bride and groom will be visiting with guests during the reception. At almost every wedding I’ve attended, including my own, the pastor tends to instruct the guests on when/where they can expect to greet the bride and groom, and it has always worked great!

If you are having a program you could write it at the bottom of the page.
