I dont have this set anymore 🙁 I traded it all in for the ring I have now, but I LOVED this band. I didnt have it very long, but I loved it. Had no issues with it and I bought it used at a pawn shop. I just soaked it in hot water and scrubbed it with a soft toothbrush and a little soap 🙂

I have a half-eternity princess cut channel set band in platinum.  It’s 2mm (width and height) and I’ve had no issues with the ring warping or diamonds shifting.  I chose the princess over the round because I prefer no space between the diamonds.  It’s a great ring for daily wear especially now that I have a baby.  It does spin but I have skeleton hands. Lol

I have a quarter channel on my e-ring. Since the diamonds don’t get to the sides of my fingers, I haven’t noticed them getting too dirty. I also don’t cook, shower, workout, or clean with my ring on. I clean my ring every 2-3 weeks time keep the stones sparkly. I’ve had it for 10 months, and I don’t think they warp as easy as your jeweler says. I’ve always been told that channel sets fair better to wear than pavé.

I don’t know how to make the picture be straight…

I’ve been wearing the e-ring for 3 years, wedding ring for 1.5 years and I haven’t noticed it being dirty as far as the diamonds go (the sapphire does get dirty, especially as I work in healthcare and need to wash/purell my hands often and I always wear my rings).  It’s a half-eternity, and the wedding band does shift a bit sometimes, not the e-ring (I did not get them soldered). I love the ‘clean’ finished look of the channel set, and I feel it is more secure.

I have a channel set. .5 tcw. Size 7, no gunk and they do not spin much unless I’m cold.

I purchased them with a local jewelry store, but had them order the setting from Stuller (I’m Canadian, but I believe roughly 900 US for the setting with G-H diamonds). I purchased the sapphire separately and had it added in store.

This is the model I purchased : https://www.stuller.com/products/122848/12196249/?groupId=192291&categoryId=22417&recommendationSource=CategoryBrowse

It states a 2.56 mm width. I also chose this setting for the side detailing. I find it look much nicer than the stock picture does (looks kind of chunkier with the diamonds? perhaps based on my preference for a lighter/more delicate look).

They are both half-eternity, sorry for the confusion! It’s a matching set, so it lines up perfectly. The wedding band was slightly less expensive at 1000$ CAD, so probably 750-800$ US at the time of purchase? including the diamonds. Overall, the whole set cost us +/- 2500$ CAD with the sapphire, so 1900$ US for the exchange rate at the time (it’s crazy bad at the moment tho!).
