onthefritz:  I don’t think this is *exactly* what you’re looking for, but it might help with picturing a channel-type setting next to a non-channel type setting. (I hope that makes sense >.O)

My anniversary ring is an invisible-set ring, but it looks like a channel set because of the metal around the diamonds on the setting. I don’t think this wedding band qualifies as pave, but it’s still little rounds in a non-channel setting. Anyhow, I hope it helps.

I don’t have a pic because I had the same issue, and when I went into the store to try on wedding bands, found that pave just does not work with channel set (in my opinion).  I ended up getting a channel set band.

Probably best to just try it on. I did find this photo… not quiet what you’re asking for though. It looks like she has a pave band and a channel set band?

My friend has the opposite. She has a an engagement ring with u pave set diamonds on the band and she opted for a channel set wedding band. Unfortunately I do not have a photo, but her set is gorgeous! I definitely recommend going to a local shop to try on some different options–you can also snap some photos and post them here for more opinions.
