mongoljingoo999 :   I like the one in picture 3 best πŸ™‚ I’m a sucker for lace πŸ™‚

That Cathedral length is crazy long on you! My Cathedral length only goes past the edge of my Chapel train a little haha (being so tall probably explains that!)

I’d probably go for Chapel length in that case πŸ™‚ you don’t want it getting stepped on or snagged unnecessarily πŸ™‚

From watching probably one too many designer runway shows, I like veils that are only an inch or so longer than your dress. Your cathedral veil looks a little too long imo. How about the last two tier veil but in chapel length instead? Maybe one tier if you are worried about hiding the beautiful lace pattern.

Consider placement of the veil too… some people put them at the top of the heads some at the bottoms, sounds silly but that’s several inches difference and where it will lay. I love the drama of a cathedral veil and that’s why I got one- but I did a simple 2 tier with Swarovski crystals scattered over it. The original size of the veil didn’t fit with my train so we custom ordered mine to extend another 6 inches so it went slightly past my dress.

I can’t find the photo I wanted to share in the salon- but hopefully this will do.

mongoljingoo999 :  Yep, it had a blusher with no detailing from what I remember… the lower tier had all of the crystals on it. In the salon the veil only went a few inches past the dress… we added more (plus the crystals to go with that section). We had the designer of the veil just add length to it and cut it longer. Needless to say it was expensive but just what I wanted and I didn’t have to worry if it would be right. I’m all about Etsy but was worried about it looking cheap so I just sucked it up and bought from the salon.

Etsy is great if you find a great seller with good reviews and close up samples. Wish I would have spent less but it was good knowing exactly the product I was going to get.

Also, if you train is round, I think your veil edge should match that (some are just squares).

PS- I like veil #2 for $89 that you listed… would need to see closer up of your dress but I think it’s simple and elegant without taking away from the dress!

Oh I LOVE your veil! I’m a HUGE fan of anything lace. I bought my veil on Etsy it’s fingertip length.

I don’t like chapel veils overall. I think when they are longer than the dress it is dreamy and beautiful. I’d do a lace trimmed one because the first looks a little underwhelming with the details of your dress.

My in-laws gifted me the cathedral veil I wore and I love it.  It had a substantial look, as in didn’t look flimsy at all, but was amazingly light.  I wore it Spanish mantilla-style.  I plan to pass it on as an heirloom veil.

I have a two-tiered cathedral veil.  As soon as I put it on, I knew my dress was the one!  It is super dreamy…  My dress is satin in a deep champagne with lots of beading in the back.  The veil is a soft ivory and very simple.
