Aquaphor! It is a miracle product. We recommended it when I gave chemo to people for rashes and other skin problems. It is really think, and a little goes a long way. you can use it anywhere on your body, lips, face. I have used it before and have never broken out.

@kate169: I have acne prone skin, and I use the cliniqie daily moisturizer. I love it. I put it on right when I get out of the shower. It’s the perfect amount of moisture. It doesn’t mess with my skin and I’m not oily.

Hope this helps!

@kate169: Oh no that sucks!

This may sounds gross, but I only wash my face when I wear full on make up. I only wear that much make up probably once a week (weekends). If I wash my face everyday with the benzoyl peroxide, it will ruin my skin. So maybe you should cut back on washing?

@kate169: I think we are skin twins! I have a really hard time using moisturizer becuase it clogs my poors on my chin. I usually end up washing my face and applying a light Burts Bees Moisturizer as needed to my face (but not daily). Also, I switched to a natural soap (sea buckthorn soap which is used for acne) that I find dries out the acne and leaves my entire face feeling great.

@kate169: It should be. It honeslty works so well that you really will only need to put it on once or twice.

@MlleBrielle: I second this, sort of. I have suuper dry/oily combination skin and I can’t wash my face more than once a day. What I do is at night I wash my face, apply moisturizer, use toner with saliclyc acid, then more moisturizer if needed. In the mornings I just splash water on my face and quickly rub with a facecloth – no cleanser – then I moisturize.

It’s the only thing that helped my dry, flaky patches. I have acne prone skin as well, but using too much benzoyl peroxide or saliclic acid really doesn’t help my skin. Too much of it dries my skin out, which increases oil production and then I’m an acne prone and dry skinned mess.

I hope you figure out what works for you, I completly understand how frustrating it is!!

Try Philosophy Hope in a Jar.  It works wonders on my dry, itchy skin this time of year.  And, it helps prevent fine lines and doesn’t leave your skin feeling oily.  The smell isn’t the best… but if you can look past that, it is so worth it.

Bag balm. I know it seems like it will make you break out, but it won’t. It’s the only reason my skin doesn’t completely dry up and flake off in the winter. Put it on at night after washing your face twice a week.

Start drinking way more water than you’re use to.  It’s amazing what being super hydrated can do for your facial skin.  AND it’s super cheap!  You may have to use the restroom more but it’s totally worth it.
