sweatergal007 :  Not on my skin, just hair.  I have lash extensions and can’t get oil anywhere near my eyes as it loosens the bonding of the glue.  It takes a while to see results…happens so gradually, one day you’re like ‘omg, how did my hair get so healthy?!’

I will look in to the John Masters lip balm, thank you!!

I love Glossier lip balms best. I got obsessed when I was pregnant: I had to have a bottle of water and a lip balm at all* times and if I didn’t I would panic haha. The habits stuck!

eta: all of the flavors are awesome but I like coconut the best.

It’s called chapstick.

I own an ever-changing number and typically have one in my bathroom, each of my coats, my purse, backpack, bedside table, work bag, locker at work, etc.

I’ve used Burt’s Bees for years but also really like Baby Lips and EOS. Lately I’ve been using EOS more because they seem harder to lose.

My worst habit is constantly losing them! I’m forever having to buy more. Especially the Burt’s Bees pomegrante.

It’s all Chapstick. And sodas are all Coke. And tissues are all Kleenex.

I only own two or three. One at work, one with my makeup, and maybe one in a purse. No favorites, no bad habits.

Is it called chapstick, lip balm, lip goo or something else?

I call it all chapstick even though chapstick brand chapstick sucks.

How many do you own?

I use three different varieties: one by bed, one to carry, and an emergency one in the car. I also have a bunch in my hall cupboard but I feel like that doesn’t count, it’s just to restock.

Where do you keep them?

See above, but re: the one to carry… WITH ME AT ALL TIMES.

What is your favorite?

Carmex. When I was younger I liked the Trader Joe’s one, but they changed the formula, and Burt’s Beas isn’t smooth enough for me.

What is your worst habit with chapstick?

Being fully addicted. I get anxious when I don’t have it, sometimes I just reapply when I’m upset. The ability to rub my lips together is weirdly important. The plus side is that I very rarely lose my chapstick; I almost always finish the tube.

Relative to other hygiene, health and beauty, how do your prioritize your lips?

I think the above is evidence that it’s a very high priority for me lol.

I keep them everywhere and couldn’t tell you how many I have (infinite lip balms) – in my car, my gym bag, my office, my purse, my pockets, my nightstand, etc.

For drugstore ones I like the Vaseline pots of lip balm, the Nivea 12h, Carmex, and those round EOS ones in peppermint
For Sephora ones I like the Fresh sugar lip treatment and rosebud perfume co

I took a professional makeup course in college (I was a theatre production major) and they actually put ingredients in chapsticks/lip balms to make your lips drier so you use more of it.

blueberrywave :  I’m not sure what year that was, but I’m pretty sure that’s been debunked.

Ohh that’s great because I’m a huge fan of Burt’s Bees! Hahah. I was in college a while ago (within the last 10 years).
