You’re fine! They’re in The same color family so it will work.

Well, I love grey and have been trying So. Hard. to convince my Fiance to go with charcoal tuxes so no, in my opinion you can never never have too much grey.

I think it will look classy together and since the dresses look like a satin I think it softens in a lovely way.

I love grey too!  Our colors are charcoal grey and light peony pink.  At first I was worried about the grey grey color difference too but grey is so classy and especially in the summer to use grey instead of black?  Perfect.

Here is our Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses:

Here is our guys suits:

We put them next to each other and they look great!  Plus if you look at it this way the only time they will be next to each other is the recessional and entrance to the reception.  GL!

I love it! It looks very clean. I wish we could do grey. I like it so much better than black.

@julie0915:  Honestly no one rents charcoal suits.  It costs about $150 to rent a tuxedo so we ended up buying them instead.  We proposed it to our Groomsmen in an email that way too.  They are happy that they are not wearing a rental and get to keep the suit in the end.

The suit above is from Van Heusen and was selling for $120.  Because we have one “big guy” and Van Heusen only goes up to size 47 we ordered ours through makeyourownjeans.com and the cost per Groomsmen was $109.99.

@baletrina:

These are my Bridesmaid dresses too!! Same color (graphite) except my Maid/Matron of Honor will wear the the Lazaro 3087 in Opal. I too was thinking Gray dresses and gray tuxes would be too much gray. So my fiance suggested HE wear the gray tux and the Groomsmen wear the black tuxes with pewter accents. I have yet to see an example of wedding pics that have this scenario where the groom is in grey with the groomsmen in black…
