I vote for Charleston. It’s a beautiful, historic, romantic city, and you’ll have tons to do!

Biased as well but Charleston all the way.

Kiawah Island is AMAZING! Can be pretty pricey but impeccable service and amazing beaches, very private and its only about 45 min away from downtown Charleston and the plantations so you can still do all the fun things. http://www.kiawahresort.com/

Folly is a cheaper option and closer to downtown. Outer Banks is great too but my heart belongs to Charleston πŸ™‚

    End of Oct?

I loved our trip to charleston for our e-pics… and it’s beautiful… but I would choose OBX down south…. I love Avon! I know a lot of OBX honeymooners and we always do a week down in the OBX 1-3 times a year…. along with countless weekend and day trips… For a honeymoon I would want low key, quiet, and a great beach. OBX!

Charleston!!! I am biased though…I live in Charleston. There is just SOO much to do…restaurants, beaches and the town is so pretty. If you do go to Charleston and want to go to a beach…I recommend Kiawah or Sullivans Island…I wouldnt go to Folly Beach…its just not the most romantic. I usually go there with friends on the weekend to party…and you will find a lot of that there.

Charleston – there is so much cool stuff to do. They have a great place called the The Meeting street in. Check it out. They have wine and cheese in afternoons, breakfast – close to everything. Love it!

I’ve been to both and loved each trip.  I voted for Charleston because, if it happens to get cold early there is still plenty to see and do as an alternative to the beach.  Folly beach is nice, I’ve never been to Kiawah Island, but have had friends that have been there and loved it.  Plus Charleston has a number of wonderful restaurants and food! Try the Blind Tiger Pub if you go to Charleston.

Charleston all the way. And I love OBX so much but I love Charleston even more. Charleston has everything you could want – lots of things to do (go to the aquarium!), nice beaches (Folly beach is a short drive), AMAZING food, beautiful scenery and architecture, great weather, good music. It is such a romantic city it is unbelievable!

My Fiance and I are going to Charleston! We had that decided long before we were even engaged. We’re planning on renting a beach house or villa that’s either right on the beach or with an ocean view. We still have a long time before we have to decide anything, but if anyone has any suggestions of things to do or see, let me know!!! I’m so excited to go!
