So, here I am FINALLY getting around to doing a recap! It has been ages, but obviously wanted to share everything with the hive!
I love yellow, so our main color was yellow, and we got married at the beginning of May. We wanted a Charleston wedding without the heavy hints of nautical theme… so we did bright colors and lots of beautiful flowers! We were budget conscious (but not strict) but stayed pretty close to our budget. We wanted a whimsical, bright feeling and I think we accomplished that.
Beautiful girlies getting ready ($5 clearance robes, thanks to a Bee who posted about them on the boards! 🙂 )
Ceremony in a church 2 miles from where we met. If you looked out the windows on the right you can see the ocean.
Our amazing wedding venue…the Pavilion at Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant; starting cocktail hour:
I LOVED my dress (even after the mandatory dress regret…), it is already bustled here, you can’t even tell! This is the view that the guests above were looking out on:
Amazing bridal party! I love yellow! Although I found other more expensive Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses that I probably liked a little better, I settled on $50 dollar Etsy dresses (the infinity kind) so that the bridal party wouldn’t have to spend that much. They appreciated it.
The most amazing cake in the history of cakes. Chocolate cake with chocolate filling (but you would never freaking know!)- Paid $300! 🙂
Our tablescape! Did all the menus myself. LOVED the flowers.
The most amazing flowers I could have asked for. I never met my florist and gave her creative liberty. Beth from Wildflowers Inc is. the. bomb.
This picture makes my life complete:
Perfect freaking night.

Gorgeous wedding. Charleston is a place near and dear to my heart. Grew up in Columbia but spent lots of time in Chucktown. 😉

Everything looks beautiful! I love the yellow Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses. Everyone looked like they were having a great time. If I were to do it all over again and opted for a Spring wedding I wouldn’t be able to resist yellow. Congratulations!
