I used to live in Johnson Co. Kentucky. I’ve been to Charleston but don’t recall the distance. My point is, lol, is the Jenny Wiley Park/Resort is really pretty, and very affordable. IDK your guest size, but we were looking at close to 80, and about $350 for multiple spots at the resort. That’s an outdoor ceremony spot, and another room. I can’t recall the exacts, as this was when I was with my ex, in 2009. Good luck, happy hunting!

Here’s a few venues off the top of my head.  I live in Charleston and like I said, if you want to PM me I’ll help you find something!  You might also want to pick up the most recent edition of WV Weddings Magazine.. it’s huge and you can get fabulous venue and vendor ideas 🙂

LIttle Creek Country Club (South Charleston)

State Capitol Complex (you can get married in the routunda too)

Clay Center (fabulous marble floors and a grand staircase!)

Berry Hills Country Club

Edgewood Country Club

Charleston Town Center Marriott

Coonskin Park (outside at their wedding garden/shelters OR inside their clubhouse)

University of Charleston (indoor or outdoor locations overlooking the river and capitol)

Knotty Pine Lodge (Winfieldish; very nice place with a country feel to it)

Benedict Haid Farm (Clendenin but VERY pretty and rustic)

Ridenour Lake (Nitro; they have a beautiful and NEW gazebo on the lake and then you could drive a shor distance to the Nitro Moose Lodge for the reception.  It’s worth it to take a drive and look… so pretty!)
