@aliciapdx:  I hope all went well at the doctor’s today. I just checked your chart, and I see that you are still within your usual LP, so that is probably why nothing’s showing up yet. Keep us posted when you have any news one way or the other.

I’d just like to clear something up here before I pop back into lurking mode. I was not feeling like I “couldn’t” post my BFP in here. I was feeling like I have a lot of respect and love for some of the ladies in here who have been trying for a long time, or who have been struggling with certain issues ( @hardtoconcentrate @ScottishMrs @MrsR4Ever @Chelles007 @Krystallite @Doxielove @BOGB ) , and I also know there are a few who have dealt with losses. Having been in their shoes, I know very well that the flip-side to being SO happy for people moving on (and I always was/am) was the pain that sneaks in afterwards when you start to question and ask yourself “why not me?”, “what’s wrong with me?”, “will I ever….?”. It in no way changes how we feel about those who have gotten pregnant, or how we feel about their news as it relates to them. But there is ALWAYS a part of us wondering when OUR time will be.
Announcing a BFP in a thread usually leads to more questions about EDDs and symptoms and tests and pictures and announcements and appointments and nurseries and everything that comes with pregnancy. For the ones asking the  questions – it’s great that you want to know, but sometimes it’s painful for some of the others to see the answers. And sometimes it can feel like a silent punishment because you want that SO badly for yourself. There’s a reason that some women have to avoid the pregnancy boards completely when they’re TTC – it’s a form of self-preservation.
By creating my own thread and keeping my announcement here limited, I was just being sensitive to the fact that while I know people would be happy for me, that they would also be sad for themselves. This thread is for you charting girls as a community to come here and vent, swap stories, share experience, love each other, support each other, and help each other through what for many is the hardest time of their lives. It’s not a place for me to come in and show you the baby quilt I’m working on, or daily pictures of my lines getting darker.
I’ll be sticking around to help if I can, and congratulate where I can. But I won’t be volunteering information on my pregnancy – out of respect, love, and an acute awareness for you all, and what you’re all going through.
This is my personal choice – it’s as simple as that.
Now all of you get together, put your hands over your hearts, and repeat after me:
“I do solemnly declare to be nice to my sisters, or mum is going to f#ck me up”.

I know I myself ask those questions. Again, we’re so happy for you and i’ve been checking back on your thread for updates (which i saw today!)  ๐Ÿ™‚  Feel free to drop in anytime!!

@MrsPuddingface:  Of course, I Promise. I feel like you are the mother hen and are passing the torch! Its bittersweet, but we’re happy to see you graduate and i hope to never see you on the TTC boards again (unless its to say hello! of course). I’m slightly tearing up!  ๐Ÿ™‚
