Hello there, cycle buddy!!

Hmmm.. I’ve read in like a million different places that O-2 is the best day in terms of your chances so if you think you might O on Saturday then you might want to get tonight in. But if you O Friday, then you already have it. Personally, I’d skip it tonight and go for it Friday. You don’t want to get BD’d out, you know?

I’m an EOD kind of girl myself… I think of it as sending in reinforcements when the previous set of troops start to disengage, while giving my Darling Husband a chance to make new/strong troops.  So if I were you I would have skipped yesterday and done it today. Since you can’t go back in time, I would probably do it tonight and tomorrow because I’m paranoid like that. lol

that said, I like PP’s advice.

@wandering_gypsy:  Nice, battle analogy! 🙂

@hoogirl05:  Sounds like a good plan! Playing it by ear is a good way to approach it!

the month that we got pregnant, we had sex every day during the ovulation window.  The other 2 months we did the EOD method and it didn’t work.  I would try and get both nights in just in case.

We have done both ways and neither has worked so far. MY OBGYN said EOD is fine. shrug.

I’m usually in the EOD camp, but since you will be out of town this weekend, my vote goes to gettin’ it in one last time tonight!

When we were first trying, we did it everyday during my fertile week. After a few months, it just became too much for us and changed to every other day. My EWM would only last for about 2 days, so when that would appear, we would BD every day, until it was gone. That worked for us. My advice is do what works best for you and for your husband – you both have to be happy with the schedule.

My RE advised that we BD a few nights before an expected +OPK to get rid of old sperm, and make way for fresh, healthy sperm.  Then, we were to BD the night of the first +OPK and 24 hours later.  She said that any beyond that is extra.  I’ve gotten pregnant twice off this advice (sadly, both ended early).

I dont think it will hurt if you dont BD tonight.  Since you have already done it 3x in a row. Good for you! I personally would give it a rest at least one day, so your DH’s soldiers get some build up for the time you actually O, you know.
