ladyvictoria :  I’m sorry. I hope that you’re able to lean on each other through these difficult times sns to come out stronger, whatever happens. It sounds like youve been referred to a good place so hopefully they can help.

MrsMellyBean :  I’ll be in the capital city for about ten days and then travelling internationally for a week. He’s going to come to the capital for about a week or so, if our plans don’t change in the next week, so there’s hope! How exciting that your first TTC cycle is coming up! How is your husband feeling about it?

MrsMellyBean :  Thank you. I have no idea about what our options are. The urologist referred us to the specialist so we just have to wait and see what can be done.

livster :  Thank you. Even though we have an answer, I feel even worse than before. I feel robbed of time and hope. We have no chance right now and may not have a chance for months …it’s heart breaking.

sensoda :  We shall see.

ladyvictoria :  I’m so sorry ๐Ÿ™ Hopefully the specialist will be able to help you guys figure something out. Maybe the FSH levels can be lowered, and that the surgery helps. Thinking of you guys <3

bananasareyellow :  I’ll be thinking of you today!!

livster :  we are in our first TTC cycle now! I’m pretty excited, but like you, wonder how it’s going to work if we’re lucky to have a second.  How exciting that you’re almost ready to TTC as well! Hope it’s as easy and enjoyable as can be!

sensoda :  That sounds like fun! A nice little trip with Darling Husband while adding to your family <3. I think both of us are equally as excited to start trying again! Hopefully it’s not as stressful as last time!

ladyvictoria :  So sorry ๐Ÿ™ . Did they give you any indication on how long you’ll have to wait to be seen by the clinic? Hope it’s not long. Xo

hopfenn  &  MrsMellyBean :  Thanks, ladies! I think that the PA he met with on Friday (instead of his urologist) gave him the wrong information because he called the IVF center this morning and they said that they can’t help us at this stage, as they only work with female patients when they’re ready for IUI or IVF. So I told him to follow up with the urologist’s office to see what more can be done. He did say that the PA mentioned a biopsy (a TESE I’m guessing) but I’m letting him do some more research and figure things out, as much as I’d rather just do it myself. Boy, is this a lesson in letting go! So we shall see what our next steps are.

ladyvictoria :  I’m so sorry you’ve gotten some more bad/challenging news. I’m mad for you guys. I hope you can find a specialist who can give you some hope and/or a plan going forward soon. You’ve been in limbo long enough; it’s time for a course of action now that you know your obstacles.

bananasareyellow :  Congrats on little blob! Grow baby grow!

MrsFairyBee :  Thank you. It’s hard because I don’t want to push him into doing things, but I’m also really struggling to be patient about all of this. I have no problem with asking questions and being assertive, but I also want to allow him to handle things because it is his body and a huge blow to his ego, and I want him to feel like he’s capable of doing things without me feeling the need to step in. If he wasn’t so visibly devastated on Friday, I would have encouraged him to call then …we could’ve gotten this all straightened out before the weekend, but we can’t do anything about it now so oh well. Just pray for me. Send all the good vibes. I started researching psychologists in my network and with my insurance, I’d pay $25 per appointment. So hopefully soon I will have a professional to talk to.

We have a consultation with a RE at the IVF center scheduled for the first week in March! Hubby was a little disappointed that it’s so far out but I’m fine with it. I think it’s going to take me a while to wrap my head around potentially needing IVF, and I want to see how things pan out with the urologist. Surgery and drugs could help us conceive on our own, not that I’m holding my breath, but it’s happened for some of the couples I’ve connected with in various infertility groups. You just never know.

ladyvictoria :  That’s great that you got an appointment!! If anything you’ll get some good information, and hopefully in the meantime you guys can figure out the surgery+drug option a little more. You definitely never know what might happen, and every situation is so different. I know the news you got wasn’t what you wanted, but I’m glad you guys are taking steps to move forward and get it figured out! You’ll get your baby <3

ladyvictoria :  Glad you are starting to make progress after this period of waiting. I hope you get more answers before March though – do you have a follow up appointment with the urologist any time soon? Also, excellent that you are proactively seeking therapy – self-care is SO important for both you and your husband.  Good steps Bee!
