MrsMellyBean :  Thank you, dear.  Darling Husband has been on 3 different medications now.  The side effects of this one aren’t as bad as the one he was on when we first started TTC as far as sexual side effects, but still a bit more severe than the one he was on when we got our BFP.  He is open to an SA, but since we’re still about 4 months from seriously TTC, I don’t know if he’ll want to do it now.  But thank you for reminding me. It would probably be a good time to do it being he’s been on his new medication for over 3 months, especially if he wants to increase his dose!

Rredroses76 :  Yeah, I’m definitely not getting on it. I’m super thankful that I’ll be able to see a specialist soon, so I can suck it up and deal with the heavy bleeding until then. I’m sorry to hear you’re on the one year mark. I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to be one year of having unprotected sex, without charting. I was reading several things that say with temping and good timing, you can see an RE after 6 months. So you could really go either way depending on how you’re feeling. It might be worth getting the basic bloodwork started and a referral to an RE since it might take a few months to get an appointment.

duchessgummybunns :  Congratulations bee! FX for a healthy and uneventful 9 months. I don’t have any cute ideas for telling D.H. when I got my BFP I just threw the test in front of him as soon as I peed on it because I was not in the mood for another BFN. So he actually knew first lol

livster :  oh I’m so sorry dear. ❀️ Hugs. That is such a mindf**k. Sending you all the prayers and good vibes for your appointment tomorrow to show the best news.

SeaOfLove :  The waiting is so hard. Both for TTC and job hunting. I agree with Melly that maybe if D.H. could get an SA in the meantime it might help. You can always fudge a bit with the doctor and say you’ve been trying a while and are worried about the medication side effects. I feel you on the feeling stuck waiting and being forever on hold. I just finally got out of the holding pattern myself by firing my PhD supervisor who was keeping me from progressing, so now Darling Husband has agreed we can (most likely) TTC starting November. It’s nice to have a plan. Maybe you can plan a date evening with Darling Husband and have a little wine and chat about ntnp more? Sitting down and discussing a concrete plan really helped me. I do hope the iron will help! I’m of the mindset now that I can handle waiting a few months for the RE because I know she’ll be able to help me so much more.

catmom17 :  Darling Husband and I ended up having a brief conversation last night, and it turns out we’re officialy NTNP <3  It’s nice, because I don’t feel the NEED to get pregnant right now, which is how I’ll feel when we start actively TTC in September.  But we do plan on having a date night soon.  I’m not sure whether it will be before his doctor’s appt, but if it is, I think I’ll talk to him more about asking his doctor for an SA and getting into more details about his sexual side effects.  He started seeing a male PCP in October, so hopefully that will help him talk about it?  His last doctor wouldn’t prescribe an SA, but that also happened to be the cycle we got our BFP (just a week after she said no).

That’s so comforting that you’re getting into an RE now instead of waiting forever, and before you’re planning on TTC again!  Keep us updated when you go and with your iron <3

livster :  Thank you!

I told Darling Husband the day after I posted this. I put the stick in a small box, along with one of the JellyCat cardboard baby books I had bought on our vacation. The book features a chicken – the place we were vacationing is oddly known for having lots of wild chickens. So I secretly had bought the book and the JellyCat chicken that went with it from the gift shop in our hotel. Anyway, I put the baby book in the box with the positive pregnancy test, set everything up in the living room, hid my phone in a good place to record, then called him in to the living room and told him I had a gift for him that I had gotten on our vacation and hadn’t given him yet. When he opened it, he was completely shocked. He thought I was pranking him, that it was too soon to know. We’re both very excited. πŸ™‚ Here are a few pics. (Can you tell I’m obsessed with JellyCats?)

SeaOfLove :  Thanks πŸ™‚ I’m very surprised it happened on the first try as well! After spending so much time preparing for TTC, and reading these forums and the FB Ava group conversations… I was 100% sure it would take at least 3 or 4 months! We even started a few months earlier than Darling Husband really wanted to because I thought it would take a while!

MrsMellyBean :  Thank you! Yeah, I was totally expecting a stark negative on CD 8/9. Happy to report the line has been steadily growing stronger. (Yes, I continue to test with the cheapies. I know it’s bad but I can’t stop myself! I think I’ll be able to stop once I’ve missed my period, but that’s still 4-5 days away!)

feedthebeags :  Thank you, hearing that actually really does help with my anxiety. Having experienced a CP 4 years ago (it was an accidental pregnancy, and I was in NO shape to raise a baby), I keep having flashbacks to that and worrying the same will happen with this baby.

catmom17 :  Oh, that’s funny. I’m sure I would have done the same had we already gotten even one negative. Heck, I almost did that with this test just from the urgency to tell him, but my friend convinced me to “make it special” with a box and by recording it. Not sure if it made it any more special, but at least we have a video?! lol

Thank you to everyone for the well wishes! <3<3<3

SeaOfLove :  Yay! So glad you have some clarity now. I hope his new pcp will be more willing to run some basic tests.

Thank you! I’ll definitely keep everyone updated.. It’s my first cycle off progesterone since my prescription ran out. I’ve been having so much pain again 😣 I’m really hoping it’s not endo returning already. That shouldn’t be possible, right? Ugh. Also my EWCM is back to its crazy self, probably due to the lack of progesterone. My temp does appear to be rising very slowly though….so maybe I’m having a weak O? Who knows at this point lol

Venting because I’m having a terrible week and feeling sorry for myself. I’m so over this. Constant EWCM while we’re TTA means no BD at all even though I’m clearly not ovulating. Plus my hormones are all over the place. Those 3 cycles on progesterone were so nice for my emotions 😭 Just waiting on AF now since my cycles have been between 20 and 35 days. I guess it’s just breakthrough bleeding with no O. It’s not a common thing to have regular “AF” without regular O, but it does happen. And it apparently has to happen to me. I’m kind of in the headspace where I want to just give up trying to normalize everything.

catmom17 :  I’m so sorry, dear!  That’s so stressful, and the hormone fluctuation is just awful.  You’ll see an RE soon, dear!  Keep a countdown nearby.  It will be here before you know it.  Thinking of you <3

livster :  Hey! How’s it going? Been curious to hear an update from you! Did the hcg continue rising? I’ve been thinking of you and have my fingers crossed for the best possible news! ♥

On my end, I actually ended up getting a positive test this cycle! I couldn’t believe it as I actually got a line at 9dpo, and I also couldn’t believe it happened the cycle right after my CP. I’m still kind of in disbelief. My lines have been steadily getting darker since so I’m very hopeful this time around. My doctor was a bit uncooperative and refused to let me do betas, but I went back to him and begged him for them so he finally agreed. Going for my 2nd one tomorrow and hopefully he’ll call me with the results soon after. He freaked me out by telling me my TSH was really low, so I’m glad I went back a 2nd time because he reassured me that my thyroid was fine even though my TSH was low. REALLY looking forward to switching to an OB asap!

MrsMellyBean :  How have you been doing?? How’s the pregnancy going?

catmom17 :  Sorry you’re having a difficult time with this cycle, that must be so frustrating πŸ™ ♥

catmom17 :  Sorry your having a rough go this week! That is a crazy amount of fertile CM to get to then possibly never even ovulate. I feel for you, hope things get better and you find a good mindset to get through it.

hopfenn :  So many YAYS for an early, nicely progressing positive!! I did lurk a bit on the May board and saw your updates πŸ™‚ It sounds like this may be the one that sticks! good luck when your numbers come back. It’s certainly hard not to roll my eyes at your Dr stories – good luck finding a new one.

catmom17 :  Oh man, this must be so so frustrating! What were your cycles like when you had your son?  Were things closer to “normal” or as unpredictable as they are now?  Are your doctors recommending you get things more stablized before TTC?

hopfenn :  YAAAY congrats and FX SO HARD for a sticky bean! This is wonderful news, especially after the rollercoaster that was your previous cycle!  When will you switch to an OB?  Thanks for following up on me – I’m still in the land of limbo!  At my last appointment (last Wednesday) my doctor said there was a 10-15% chance of a successful pregnancy but she wanted to wait until this coming Friday (2 days from now). So that appointment will either be an ultrasound and D&C (most likely) or just an ultrasound in the unlikely event of there being progress.  I’ll keep you all updated.

livster :  I’m so sorry you’re going through this… I know it’s hard to hang on to hope at this time, but I’m going to hang on to it for you so you don’t have to.  I really REALLY hope you are in the lucky 10-15%.   Rooting for you so hard, Mama <3

AFM I’m at 7dpo over here.  We somehow hit the FW twice without trying.  My hormones are strong during that time haha.  We’ve started a mini-POAS thread in my Facebook April 2018 WB group, but the ladies either currently TTC or NTNP aren’t really as into it as the charters (me and two other Mamas who are waiting to TTC again).  I miss the old POAS boards on here in 2017. haha.  I know we’re not trying super hard, but I miss the constant chat and support.

jbirdlee1015 :  Thank you!! Definitely hoping this one sticks. So far so good! I should get my beta results today so I’m a bit anxious for that, but really hopeful!

livster :  THANKS!! Oh gosh it’s been such a rollercoaster. Really hoping for a sticky bean. Also keeping my fingers crossed so tight for you! 10-15% chance is still a chance, so I’m hoping this will be it for you! ♥

ladyvictoria :  When do you leave for your vacation?? It must be coming up! So glad that you have the same insurance coverage- seems like this new job really is a no brainer <3

SeaOfLove :  I’m glad that the side effects aren’t as bad for this medication as when you first TTC. Good point about seeing about an SA after 3 months of being on the medication. Yay for officially NTNP! How exciting πŸ™‚ It’s awesome that you hit your FW twice this cycle. When will you test?? How’s the other mama in your group that’s been trying for awhile?

duchessgummybunns :  I’m not judging! I tested for weeks afterwards with cheapies. They are still in my bathroom drawer.  JellyCat is awesome, we love the books and the stuffies are so soft! How are you feeling?

catmom17 :  Ugh I’m sorry that the pain is back and that you’re back to confusing cycles again. How frustrating. If you stay on progesterone, does it stop the endo from coming back? I really hope that it’s not returning. Hugs

hopfenn :  Congrats mama!!! How are you feeling?! What is with these pesky doctors acting like they are moving heaven and earth to order a simple test?! Like seriously what is their apprehension? Drives me crazy. Glad you were able to convince him.  Have you gotten any results yet? I’m doing good, thanks for asking! I’ll be 17 weeks tomorrow and have my anatomy scan in two weeks!

livster :  I’ve been thinking of you mama- I hope you get some good, happy news tomorrow <3. Are you holding up ok??
