LittleRiver:  Sorry about AF. I hope you get the best present next Christmas!

saratiara2:  Sorry about BFN and impending AF.

SaltedCaramel:  FX for you! That would make an awesome Monday!

BeverlyGeese:  Hopefully you can get your results soon! I hate waiting for stuff like that!

    View original reply
Aqualov:  That’s so good having a plan to move forward!

Feist:  Maybe you just missed the really positive one? Hopefully you can confirm with temps soon!

AFM, I did another practice fitness test today and did better. The part I had a few issues with I did better with (as in under the time limit) and I did the 260lb sand bag drag twice (the second time was brutal). My real test is Wednesday. I’m nervous even though I passed today.

Oh, and to jump in on post O temps. I know generally they mean nothing, but the way that my CP cycle was identical to my first BFP and that I had no other cycles like those ones freak me out for this cycle’s post O temps!

LittleRiver: so sorry about AF! I totally know what you mean about progesterone not being high enough, not enough follicles, etc. I feel the same way, it’s so frustrating! Truly hope 3rd times a charm for you!

saratiara2:  sorry about BFN. Hope cycle number “2” is the one!!

AFM- FF gave me CH today but I disagree with it since I had such crazy strong O pains on Weds. We’re covered either way since we were BDing EOD but irk. Guess I’ll see if my temps the next couple days change anything. What do you ladies think? My Ovulation Chart

Kabatchy2be:  Hmmm I think I agree with FF, but I guess you’ll know for sure in the next for days. If FF is correct, we’re at the same DPO.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I got ‘high’ on FF’s timing analyzer for the first time because we got O, O-1, and O-2 (also O-4, O-5). Obviously it doesn’t mean too much since I’ve had two BFPs with ‘good’ timing but it’s still cool to see! 😀

Turtle83:  Yes, I’m trying to think of it as our first “real” cycle…the trouble is it might be our first cycle physically, but it’s our 11th mentally. And obviously that’s way tougher. I’m doing alright…letting myself wallow for today, and will be ready to go by tomorrow, which will likely be CD1. Enjoy your sexy time after that high reading!

saratiara2:  Ha!  FF originally had today (Friday the 13th) as my test day, and I did think that was a bad omen.  We haven’t had any serious conversations about IVF.  I know many different-sex couples will do only 3 cycles of IUI, but it feels different to me in our case since the goal of IUI is just to put us on equal footing with folks doing this the old fashioned way.  That’s frustrating that your clinic won’t do consecutive IUI cycles.  The only reason I can think of you couldn’t do consecutive cycles would be if you had an estrogen-producing cyst, but that’s why they do the baseline u/s and blood work before you start meds.  Fx you get your BFP before any of this becomes relevant!

BeverlyGeese:  Yeah, I can imagine how not knowing is just as bad as knowing.  The grass is always greener.  Re: your progesterone check, wtf?!  I would be furious, too.  I just don’t even understand why they don’t have access to a lab with quicker turnaround times if they are going to offer this kind of testing.  Big hugs.

Kabatchy2be:  Thanks!  I got so stressed out by my follie sizes last time, I am thinking of not asking this time.  Ordinarily, my RE will tell me how many and what side(s) but not the sizes unless I ask him or the nurse.  As for your CH, temps aren’t always reliable post-trigger:

kes18:  Its so easy to get sucked down with the negativity of life…I’m trying to always see the positive in everything. It isn’t easy, but it keeps me from giving up!! And thanks re: my foot. I will be the girl hobbling into the bar next week 😉

saratiara2:  LOL – I usually get this way second half of my lp when I know af is going to show up sooner than later. I seriously become a bitter person for a few days and hide away until I snap out of it. Stupid hormones.

LittleRiver:  I know right? I’m feeling better as I just heard back from the nurse. I asked her to call me back about dh semen analysis and scheduling my hsg. She said we will for sure have my results by Monday and she will make a note to call me with results. The front desk told me two weeks bc my Dr will be out of town. I’m planning to stop in on Monday to pick up info for these tests anyway, since my orthopedic is conveniently located in the suite next to my ob!

Kabatchy2be:  I think ff is wrong and you ovulated yesterday!

PHEW. Im like a yo yo of emotions today! I’m looking forward to being done with work and enjoying some sushi on the patio with dh tonight. He has been so busy at work we have seen each other about 30 minutes/day before we go to bed for the night. Friday took toooo long to get here.

Tomorrow is our first home insemination of the cycle. Time has gone by fast, but yet it feels like forever.

The adventure continues. Just tested again. Got a positive on my cvs strip. Tested same urine with another, also positive, but the digital is still negative and way lighter than control line. So I guess I got a faulty strip this morning. Still don’t know how to reconcile the strips vs digital but we’re going to proceed like its positive and wait for the temp rise. Fx not having started sex sooner won’t bite us in the ass.

I take a break from WB for a few days, and I come back to ten pages to catch up on.  But first, a cross-post from the 6 months + thread.

Hi Girls, Sorry I’ve been a little absent these past few days. This last cycle has hit me hard, and I just really needed to try and focus on everything else in my life for a few days. That meant pretty much doing everything in my power to avoid WB for a few days. It was hard. I guess I wanted to wait until I had the space and time to collapse and fall into a million pieces if I needed to. AF officially started yesterday.

A good thing is that I made it to 13 DPO before AF started. This is the second cycle in a row since the MC that my cycles have lasted at least 12 DPO. Also, my congestion has lifted, so I can temp again, if I decide to.

I move on to cycle 8. This cycle is a big one for me. At the end of this cycle I turn 32. I really thought I would have been pregnant, with my keeper by now. This is also my last chance to have a 2015 baby. I can’t believe that it’s taken this long. 8 is also my DH’s favorite number. We were both born on the 8th day of our birth months.  I hope that brings us luck.

I know that statistically it can take a healthy couple up to twelve months to conceive or whatever, but the longer and longer it takes the harder it is to keep it all together. It’s getting harder and harder to focus on the positives. It’s getting harder and harder to look at other’s baby pictures and family pictures.

I’m considering how I should move forward. I’ve considered not temping this month and trying a more relaxed approach.  I’m going to try and get my butt out of bed in the morning and do my yoga. We’ve been doing a pretty bad job at the gym, so I need to kick myself in the butt and go back. I’m also looking at my supplements and trying to figure out what I can cut out from them. But, I feel like I am taking most for a reason, so this is hard. I’m also thinking of trying the SMEP, but the amount of BDing kind of scares me.

Does anyone have any advice for me moving forward? Should I try a more relaxed method, or should I go about it how I have been.

    BeverlyGeese:

I am a firm believer in the fact that we ha’ve hardships to make us better people, couples and eventual parents. There will be a reason for it in the end….it just sucks getting there! So, while I struggle with not being able to conceive, I’m trying to remember that I’m lucky to have this time alone with dh, and it is only making us stronger as a couple.  YES!!!  Also I love your outlook.  It’s hard for me right not to remember this. I need to.  I hope you enjoyed your sushi!  I’m planning on digging out our patio furniture and grilling tomorrow before second winter hits.
