auggiefrog:  I’m so sorry about AF and I understand needing a break from anything related to TTC. I’m also turning 32 and this cycle is my last chance for a 2015 baby, so I get how you feel. I hope cycle # 8 will be your lucky one! Regarding advice moving forward, last cycle I decided to stop temping after confirming ovulation, for me it’s way less stressful since I’m not obsessing over my post-o temps, I also use the same defense mechanism as Aqualov, I have low expectations, I expect to either get AF or have another cp/miscarriage, that way it hurts less when it happens. Deep inside I still hope I’ll get my sticky BFP, but based on past experience I don’t allow myself to be too optimistic. I hope next cycle will be your lucky one and you’ll never need to worry about TTC again (hugs)

MattieK:  I’m glad your thyroid levels were normal and your progesterone levels were great! FX for you!

I had my u/s this morning and it was too early, my leading follicle was only 15mm so I need to go back on Monday for another u/s, I will most likely ovulate on Wednesday which would make my official POAS date (14 DPO) my birthday (april 1). I’m hoping that brings me extra luck and I get my sticky BFP, but if not I prefer to get AF than remember my 32nd birthday as the day I got a BFP for my 7th loss… In happier news, to everyone who recommended House of Cards, thank you! I started watching it today, and so far it’s awesome!

auggiefrog:  Your post really resonated with me.  Even though we’re “only” on cycle 3, it also hit me hard that this is our last chance for a 2015 baby.  And I’ll be 34 — if not older — before baby arrives.  As sobering as it was to realize that we’re not in the lucky cohort of couples who conceive on the first or second try, in some ways, the knowledge that this could take awhile feels liberating.  I can’t put my life on hold for a year or longer waiting to o, waiting to test, waiting to make decisions about where to live, when to go on vacation, how to celebrate holidays.  Today I started training for a 10-mile race — something I wanted to do last year but put off because of ttc.  I feel more like myself than I have in a long time.  What do you want to do but put off because of ttc?  Can you start doing it now?  By the way, 8 is an auspicious number in Chinese culture.  I hope this is your lucky cycle!

MiJeS1104:  I’m overjoyed for you!!!!  You are pregnant today, so enjoy every moment!

AFM, I made an appointment with the acupuncture center recommended by my RE’s office.  They specialize in fertility acupuncture, including support for IUI/IVF cycles.  I was able to get a consultation and initial treatment for CD6, so hopefully that’s early enough to make the most out of this cycle.  If we do have to move to injectables next month, I want to know that I did everything I could first.

Turtle83:  Thank you!! I hope your new poas date brings you extra luck this year. When do you finish up with classes? I’m glad you still went in early, because at least you know and have a plan. Thinking of you!

LittleRiver:  ohh! I can’t wait to hear how you like it. My first appointment was a CD5, and it helped immensely with ewcm and just overall other health (sinuses, sleeping…Also getting up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night)! If anything, I’m glad I did it to be in the best health possible. I have heard with ivf (if you end up that route), the benefits really come into play if you have been doing it for 3 months. I hope you don’t need take that long for a bfp…but like you said, you are doing everything possible to get ready!

BeverlyGeese:  I submitted my last final for this quarter yesterday! So now I have a 2 week “break”, i.e. only work full-time. I only have 1 school quarter left and I’ll finally graduate in mid June, this 3-year MBA program was too long! I loved House of Cards so much that I just booked a 1 week vacation to D.C for the first week of September! I’m super excited, I have never been to D.C. 😀

Turtle83:  woohoo to almost being done with your MBA!!!  DC should be fun!  I haven’t been there since I was a kid.  So many good museums! There’s a picture of my great uncle in the Smithsonian (or at least there was the last time I was there 15+ years ago).

Turtle83:  You’re so close to being done lady! Enjoy your two-week break. Get lots of rest and gain all the energy you can! You will need it for your sticky baby. FX you ovulate soon. You will love DC. I have been there a few times and really like it.  🙂
