lalalalauren:  Thank you ๐Ÿ™‚ AMH (anti-mullerian hormones). FSH (follicle stimulating hormones) and AFC (Antral follicle count) are all levels that they measure to determine your ovarian reserve. Because mine are coming in as too low or too high, I have a diminished ovarian reserve. (DOR). I appreciate your support – and yes, I’m trying to enjoy the rest of the trip! We have had the most amazing time so far and still finish the weekend in Napa Valley for my sister’s wedding. For this, I am grateful!

hogoboom2012:  I’m glad you’re enjoying your TTA break, your trip sounds amazing! When are you leaving? How long will you be there?

    ruby26:  I’m so sorry ๐Ÿ™

BeverlyGeese:  I responded in the 1 year + thread. I had the same AMH number last year and I have conceived 8 times in less than 2 years, stupid immunity/implantion issues I have, NOT related to DOR. A DOR diagnosis sucks, I know, I remember how awful I felt when I was told I had it, but it does not mean you can’t conceive. I’m proof that you can conceive with DOR, even without medical help. I’m here if you need to vent.

BeverlyGeese: Responded to you on the 1+ thread. But I totally believe in your chances despite the DOR Dx, just like Turtle said!

ruby26: What a blower! Kudos to you for your great attitude about it, though – that calm approach will probably totally help you get your BFP very soon!!!

Mrs. Coyote: Don’t you dare feel stupid. 10 DPO is totally legit! And it’s pretty early, so ya still never know. It’s my favorite day to test on cycles when I allow myself to test earlier than 14 DPO, bc it’s possible to get a BFP but possible to realistically remain somewhat hopeful if you don’t get it quite yet. Fx!

auggiefrog: Sounds promising. Hang in there and good luck!

lalalalauren: bees_knees: Seriously Amen to the “no such thing as TMI” comment – HA. So true! It’s nice having a place where you can indulge in all the Too Much Information … makes me feel like there’s a tiny chance I will spare some of my friends IRL who I have to remind myself are not immersed in this bizarre (and in my case, medicalized) journey.

hogoboom2012: Your approach to TTA is absolutely inspiring. And your upcoming trip sounds really amazing and potentially fulfilling. You are not alone on the weight-loss train, girl … I’m over here eating celery as we speak (barf, not my favorite but it makes me feel virtuous LOL).

bees_knees: Where can I get some of your awesome, calm, Zen attitude?!? I REALLY need some today. It’s such a great approach, we really have so little control. Good luck during your TWW.

Feist:  Really sorry about AF. I know you’re a stats/studies gal like myself, so hopefully it is comforting to know that the highest chance of success on your protocol tends to come around cycle 3 or sometimes 2 or 4, but there’s a sweet spot in that window statistically. Hope keeping busy is a helpful distraction. Fx for your next IUI/cycle!

BeverlyGeese:  Thank you for the explanation. I’m glad some of the other ladies can give you some hope as examples of conceiving with the diagnosis! Wishing the best for you and am so jealous you’re going to be in Napa!! I have never been and am a huge wine lover so I would love to go there in the fall sometime!

rjay:  Yes exactly! None of my girlfriends IRL have kids, I’m definitely ahead of them in the big life steps department, married at 23, pregnant at 24, but ya know that’s life some people find their partner sooner than others, etc. So they really don’t get anything. When I had my CP I told them about it (and they knew about my MMC back in 2013), and one of them who is still pretty immature was like wait what’s wrong with the baby? I was like omg seriously didn’t you just read anything I just texted you and you can’t google instead of asking an insensitive question?? Sorry for the rant they just don’t get it!

arielmerms:  Thanks ladies, yes I really do have my hopes up high…. trying to talk myself out of testing tomorrow but I will be at my in laws lakehouse all weekend with my SIL, Brother-In-Law, nephew and brand new 3 week old niece so I don’t think I could contain a secret if I got a BFP while with them. Granted I would tell them pretty quickly afterward anyway but still want to see some progressing lines first. So if tomorrow is BFN I will wait to test til Sunday or Monday. That’s my rationale and yes I’m totally overthinking this, I can’t help it I’m a total crazy planner! I never used to be like this until college! I guess adulthood happened. LOL

BeverlyGeese:  Sorry about the DOR diagnosis. But I agree with others, from what I have read, that just means you have fewer eggs left, but it doesn’t mean anything about the quality of the eggs you have, that’s an independent variable more closely related to age. So please try not to let it get you down too much. Enjoy the rest of your vacation, sounds fantastic!

lalalalauren:  Totally not weird that you miss nursing! I love it, and it came easy for me, too! I say it’s karma for such an awful delivery! Altho looking back, labor / delivery doesn’t seem that bad. Isn’t it funny how our brains trick us into thinking reproducing again is a great idea? ๐Ÿ˜‚ Are you testing tomorrow? If your nose itches, it’s bc I’m chart stalking you! FX!

BeverlyGeese:  Oh, man, I’m so sorry to hear about your DOR. The only information I have on that came from the book “It Starts with the Egg” which has a plan for eating, lifestyle changes and supplements for people with DOR. It is not ONLY about DOR, but she does discuss it. If you have not read that, I would recommend it, it’s a great book full of real research, and I made a lot of lifestyle changes after reading it (mostly with regards to plastics, cosmetics, etc.) I hope you can just enjoy your last few days, I hear redwood forest is amazing! Hugs!
