Hey ladies, I’m still following along, but not really posting.  But I’m wishing the best for all of you.

BeverlyGeese:  I’m so sorry you are having to go through all of this.  I can’t believe all the bad luck you are having, and I really, really hope that things turn around for you.  Hugs.

AFM, I’m hanging in there, still pregnant.  I had a little bit of spotting yesterday, but so far none today.  It still has me completely freaked out. I was starting to get a little bit of nausua yesterday, but so far none today.  It would make me feel so much better if it just returned!  There was a mix-up when I scheduled my initial appointment with my OB, and it got scheduled at the end of September.  I can’t call and fix it until Monday afternoon, but if I can’t get in I might just bug my GP for some betas next week.

BeverlyGeese:  I’m sorry you are dealing with all that. Fx this is like last cycle in that nore follicles become apparent once you start stimming.

AFM, this group of women I’m in a FB group with, one of them posted an article that was saying how it’s easier to get pregnant in your late 30s than scaremongering articles would have you believe, just get bloodwork to make sure you have time! I responded that the article is misleading, good tests just mean you don’t have certain problems NOT that you are fertile. I’m 30, my numbers look fantastic, yet at some point in my late 20s I stopped ovulating. And the article confounded egg supply, which they can test for, and egg quality which has a correlation to age and other factors outside of the numbers. So I was like, I’m not saying to panic bc you are 30 and single, you shouldn’t. But just because the author had good numbers and she and her friends had no problem getting KOed in their late 30s doesn’t mean doctors can do a little blood work and tell you you are definitely fertile.

I felt bad for being a downer, but it actually helped to be matter-of-fact about our struggle with this group of friends. i haven’t really told anyone else. I’m struggling a lot right now because this is the first time I really feel infertile. Like before, I felt like we’d only had a couple cycles where I actually ovulated so I just needed some OI. Now that my body became resistant to Femara after one cycle, it feels like a much bigger problem. And then DH’s numbers as well.

lalalalauren:  I am so sorry for your loss. Keeping you in my prayers!

AFM, AF (I think) is showing today…and if I O late again this cycle, DH will be out of town for my whole FW (again. For the next 3+ cycles.) so that’s super. Surprisingly, I’m feeling ok. Obvi bummed, but feeling some sort of weird peace about the whole thing.

BeverlyGeese:  Ugh sorry you’re feeling so bummed. I’m interested to know why she wouldn’t have tested you for thryoid and other autoimmune disorders sooner? Please let us know the results and keep us updated. Hoping an IUI is not just possible but completely successful.

auggiefrog:  Hoping you can start to relax soon and get in to see your OB sooner than Sept. Waiting for that first appointment is torture, honestly 10x worse than the TWW. Wishing you all the luck in the world!!

Feist:  Don’t feel bad for being a downer. You know from experience that you need to be realistic so expectations don’t outweigh reality. Not saying it doesn’t suck, cuz it does, big time. But I think you just must be wiser than a lot of those ladies. Sometimes when you share your infertility story with others who don’t know it almost feels like a weight is lifted and the burden isn’t just yours anymore. That sounds crazy but kinda how I feel about it.

lalalalauren:  Well, its sort of complicated – I had my thyroid tested (twice actually). The first time it was high and I was still seeing my ob. I asked her to retest it and pull free T3 and T4 and prolactin, which she did. My prolactin came back high and that was around when I first saw the RE. She retested the prolactin and until now never saw concern about the thyroid antibodies. I specifically asked her to test for those and for other autoimmune disorders (things like hashimotos) because they can actually cause DOR.  She assumed that my OB had done it, but upon review of my records we realized she didn’t. So…either way I have been tested now and should know sooner than later if it is an issue. I’m still learning about everything and the right tests to ask for. Back in April when my thyroid was retested (it came back in normal range the second time), I just asked for more specific thyroid testing and assumed she included the antibodies. Now I know ๐Ÿ™‚ my basic understanding is that they don’t test for things until they have reason to believe it might me an issue/cause of something.

BeverlyGeese:  Wow so interesting. Thanks for sharing. Just goes to show you really have to be your own advocate to get the best care. I have heard of things getting overlooked like that before, especially if you go from one dr. to another. Glad you are going to get some answers soon!

So I’m writing this from my vacation. I was so psyched so start my Clomid and of course, with my luck, everything came to a screeching halt. I went for my ultrasound and bloodwork today and they saw a big cyst on my right ovary. She said if the estrogen levels come back too high, we can’t continue the cycle right now. Figures… So I leave there crying and just defeated. My nurse called me back with my levels and sure enough they were in the 800s,where, correct me if I’m wrong, they are supposed to be in the double digits. So the nurse told me to use my trigger shot tonight to bring on ovulation and shrink the cyst. I won’t ovulate because everything is way too small being it’s only CD 3 but it should do something with the cyst. So I go back on the 17th to check it again, and then I  should get AF either that week or the following. So it basically delays us about 2 weeks. I’m just so frustrated. Why can I never get good news? I’m feeling a lot better now than I did this morning, but I’m still just angry. I know there’s nothing I can do. I just have to go along with it, but it still sucks. Hope everyone is doing well!

MiJeS1104:  Ugh, I’m so sorry nothing seems to be going your way. I feel your pain and frustration. Just wanted to wish you good thoughts and positive vibes going forward. It’s so hard to be looking forward to something so much just to have it taken out from under you. Hugs.

    arielmerms:  Yay for EWCM!

I hope the week ahead treats you all good! Tomorrow I have a parade first thing in the morning and we’re in our Navy whites. I didn’t get the male pants so I’m stuck with the awful, high-waisted and pleated female pants. I’ll make sure to get a picture! ๐Ÿ˜‰ I also have to get DD ready for day care dressed in white head to toe. Wish me luck. Also hoping AF doesn’t show up a day early when I’m wearing white pants! I’ll be heading into my last TTA cycle this week, plus it’s my last full week of work before vacation! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’ƒ

arielmerms:  Thank you so much ladies! I really appreciate it. I feel a lot better. Feel like I had my fit of despair and rage and I’ve just accepted it. I’m doing everything I can and that’s all I can do. Just sucks that my body doesn’t want to cooperate.
