FreckledFox:  ok so I tested again this morning and I would say it’s still not a positive. my temp has gone back up though so hoping that’s a sign that it’s happened, fingers crossed it keeps climbing and maybe OPKs just aren’t going to show strong for me

top one is yesterday bottom is today

waterlilly15:  During the LH surge, just before O, you may notice a DIP in temperature or you may notice it when you measure a temperature that is lower than your typical preovulatory temperature, and it is followed by your temperature rise (at least for 3 days), indicating that ovulation has occurred.

waterlilly15:  That definitely looks like it’s getting there! I’d test again this afternoon and even in the evening in case you are catching the beginning of the surge and have a quick surge.

happy2bee:  Not much help but it just looks like normal temperature variation to me- nothing really to be concerned over or hopeful for.  But I don’t put any stock in implantation dips or triphasic charts.  They can’t be proven to be that until you get a + and otherwise it just can give false hope because it might not mean anything at all.  Just my take on them!  Mine look like this frequently.

MrsMellyBean:  sorry about the cramps!  Contractions I thought felt like menstrual cramps on steroids.  But your description does remind me of the “lightning crotch” that is common throughout the second half of pregnancy.  Google that haha.  I have actually had a few of them over the past year but maybe only 2 or 3 times.  I’m not really sure what would cause it in non-pregnancy states.  Contractions are in the uterus so that is why early labor can just feel like normal menstrual cramps but something that could be irritating your cervix might feel more like lightning crotch since it involves the cervix and vaginal walls. fun stuff! Sorry that sounds not fun at all.

waterlilly15:  that is not a + OPK.  But it looks like it darkened some so maybe you will get a real + later today or tomorrow.  You can test with FMU, SMU, early afternoon, or evening.  That would definitely cover catching a surge.  But be careful with being too hydrated since I will often have +’s two AMs in a row with a negative on the evening in between and that is just because my urine is too diluted.  If you got that last one this morning I would test this afternoon but make sure you hold long enough.

Popping in with some news!  First IVF cycle was a success – I got my BFP today!  My beta was 289 at 9dp5dt.  This is the first time I’ve ever seen two lines, so clearly I had to test three times this afternoon πŸ˜‰

PS for those who don’t know me, I was a longtime charter (~2 years).  Just wanted to share my good news and thank you all for the support you’ve shown me for so long!

waterlilly15:  supposedly about 20% any given month for a health couple   But yes, nothing like they try to make it seem like in high school when they tell you you will get pregnant just looking at it! haha.  BUT of course, it does only take 1 sperm in the end so it COULD only take one time That definitely happens, too! But even if it doesn’t happen right away, the majority of couples will get pregnant sometime in the first 6 months and a few more up to 1 year.

MrsR4ever:  Hilarious! If I peed when I laughed I’m pretty sure it would make me laugh even harder. Like a positive feedback loop! My sister has a friend who still pees when she jumps on a trampoline πŸ˜‰

Ohhavok:  aww I’m sorry about the BFN- hopefully it’s just too early. Your chart looks good though! My cycles are around 50 days right now but the medication I’m on is supposed to slowly shorten them up a little bit so here’s hoping πŸ˜€

kes18:  That makes sense about contractions feeling like AF cramps. Do you remember if you felt dilation of your cervix at all? Lightning crotch is the most accurate description I’ve read so far haha, maybe that’s what it is? Apparently it’s not uncommon for ladies with PCOS to get it while not pregnant so I think you’ve solved the mystery of the vag pains! Is it next weekend you go to Vegas??

MrsPuddingface:  Your story about Jason brought tears to my eyes.  That must have been so sad for all of you.  I’m sure your family members took great care of him for you.  It sounds like Kevin is very lucky to have you.  πŸ™‚  I’m sorry to hear about his allergies.  I can’t imagine pushing Zoe aside for a baby.  She looks sad when I’m just holding our cat.  That’s so sweet that Eli takes such good care of him.  My cousin’s DD wipes their dog’s nose with tissues.  He doesn’t love it but he lets her do it.  I can’t really imagine raising kids without pets.  I love animals too much to not want to share that with my children.  Of course they are more than just animals to me.  I’m bringing Zoe a McDonald’s cheeseburger tonight.  She only gets them 2-3 times a year but she goes nuts for them.  Tomorrow we’re having a few of her favorite people over.  I got her a few gifts but when I was telling my mom how she doesn’t really need anything we realized how she just loves to get gift bags to dive into.  So I’m going to the dollar store and getting a bunch of white bags and white tissue and I’ll put a little treat at the bottom of each bag with tissue over it and bring them all out at once tomorrow.  She gets really excited when I bring one gift bag out and she always assumes it’s for her so I can’t wait to see her reaction.

JMer711:  Your dog is adorable!  Your story made me tear up too!  I love how Cannoli was like “Here I am.  We can go home now.”  His name is so cute and perfect too!  I may use that recipe you shared.  I’ve been house/dog sitting so I haven’t had time to look for my usual recipes.

MrsMellyBean:  I don’t know if they make enough wine and chocolate for the type of cramps you’re talking about.  Yikes!  I hope it’s very temporary or your body kicking into gear to go to shorter cycles or something like that.
