kes18:  woohoo!  That’s an awesome change with the B6!  Are you taking just the B6 or a complex B?

MrsR4ever:  oh, ouch!  I hate injuries like that πŸ™ hope it relaxes for you soon!

natbrown0703:  wow!  that’s a lot of rain – I hope you guys continue to stay safe! And that your next cycle will either be much shorter, or 9 months long because you’ll have a BFP!

MrsMellyBean:  yay for DH being home! πŸ™‚ it’s so great to have them home!

ruby26:  congratulations on the job!!  That’s fantastic! Glad the sonogram wasn’t too awful and I hope that the RE has great news and a plan for you on Monday!  Keep us updated!

So, tested this morning with a BFN and lost it on my poor DH.  I know it’s not true at all, but I was (maybe still am a little) fighting the thoughts that we were pregnant but I did something on the trip and the baby couldn’t implant. I know it’s not true, but those were my first thoughts.  I never, ever get midcycle spotting and was so, so hopeful.  AF is due on Wednesday and we’re trying to figure out what to do.  We’re supposed to do hybrid IUI next.  I have the prior authorizations in place and we can start right away.  But, we’re just coming off Mexico and I’m still destressing from everything. I don’t know if this is the right time to do it or not. If we spent thousands on this cycle and it didn’t work, I would feel awful and be sure that it was my fault for being stressed.  But, on the other hand, we’ve only been home for 24 hours and I wouldn’t even start injectables until late next week, that’s plenty of time. I just don’t know what to do.  We started looking into foster care/adoption today too and it’s making the fact that we might not be able to have our own sink in all the more.

FreckledFox:  hmm ok I might stick out this cycle without corrections and look at doing it for the next one.

i don’t know what my cycle is usually, I came of BCP and had a 28 but then had a 40, this is the 3rd so it’s anyone’s guess. I got almost positives opks on CD18/19 but then it’s gone to negatives again. I think judging from my temps I did O around then and must have missed the surge even with 3 times a day testing.

will wait for AF to arrive and start the joy all over again lol

hogoboom2012:  Don’t worry about the BFN yet, you aren’t out until AF shows.

    View original reply
waterlilly15:  You never know your body may have faked out O and you will gear up again.  Keep an eye on it.  (I only say that because I’ve done that two different cycles now)

Ok on to CD4.  I will admit not only was I disappointed that AF showed up right on time, the B6 I’ve been taking didn’t do a thing for my LP.  It was still 10 days although I didn’t spot at all beforehand so I guess that’s good?  I do have a question something I’ve noticed though.  So any ladies that have taken B6 did you notice that the number of days you bleed is less on B6?  Normally I’ve had probably 5-6 days of flow with 2 days of spotting and this cycle I’m only on day 4 and I’m pretty much done.  I’m guessing that’s due to the B6?  I’m hoping that’s a good thing but we will see I guess. I’ve heard both sides that B6 can either make O earlier or later than usual.  I wouldn’t mind earlier but hopefully not later!

hogoboom2012:  BFNs are always hard to deal with, it makes you think the worst, it makes you think that not only you may be out this cycle but that you are out completely for the rest of your life. I hate that feeling.  Please keep your head up, you will get your little miracle, even if you are out this cycle (which I pray you are not), you have IUI to look forward!  You have so much to gain, even if you try one cycle of it.  Hugs! πŸ™‚

waterlilly15:  I am sorry you think you missed your surge πŸ™ it happens! and with your work shifts, totally possible!  FX AF stays away!

    JLBB-brooklyn:  Best of luck!

AFM: I am pretty sure, like 99.9% sure that I am out this cycle.  This morning I woke up with my usual pre-AF cramps.  They usually start mild a week or a few days before she decides to show.  Oh well! I am still looking forward to my RE appointment on the 31st! YAY πŸ™‚

hogoboom2012:  I’m so sorry about the BFN πŸ™ that is really really tough. Just remember all of the ladies around these parts who have had successful IUIs! You could have a little bean growing inside of you next month!!! Take care of yourself today- you deserve it. xoxox

JLBB-brooklyn:  I was thinking of you yesterday! Good luck with the trigger today & IUI on Wednesday!!!!!!  I’ll be chart stalking you and cheering you on~!

happy2bee:  sorry the B6 hasn’t increased your LP yet- I’ve heard it can take a bit to work for some people so don’t give up! As for the less bleeding, I’m not sure! I thought it would’ve had the opposite effect. It could just be your body getting accustomed to being off BCP? I know my first two cycles were a lot heavier than the last two.

MrsR4ever:  Your temps are still looking good! I’m not giving up hope yet for you! But like you said, at least if AF comes you have the RE appointment in a couple weeks! As for the CHs I’m not at all surprised haha. I didn’t think I had O’d yet and was fully expecting them to disappear! Next week is the start of my typical FW so hopefully DH and I can get some good timing now that he’s back. Of course we will be visiting the IL’s during that time- I always seems to be there around O which makes for some awkward BDing haha :).

kes18: Are you sure you’re not pregnant?! Holy smokes look at that LP go!!!

natbrown0703:  wow, I hope the flooding doesn’t continue and your house stays safe.  On the other hand, that sounds like a fun extra-long weekend!

    View original reply
MrsMellyBean:  I did take 50mg B6 before O.  After O I took 100mg but I haven’t been taking it my whole LP- I missed a lot of days.  I missed O day through 5 DPO because I had that stomach flu.  After that I think I only took it 4-5 times and today is 13 DPO.  12 LP so far which is the longest I’ve had.  I do think the B6 helps but now I’m wondering if my DD only nursing on one side and less on the weekends and evenings the past month has had a big effect on my LP.

    View original reply
ruby26:  Yeah 12 day LP so far!  No sign of AF this morning so waiting around I guess.  Great news on the new job!  That’s exciting!  Are you taking any time off in between jobs?  FX for your meeting next monday!  I need to get my backet in order before noon tomorrow

hogoboom2012:  I am taking B6 and B complex.  I’m not entirely sure it is just the B6 now TBH.  I do think it helps (I used it in the past and it increased my LP by one day).  A month or so ago, DD started nursing less often than before (I can tell she isn’t taking much and she hasn’t nursed on my right side in weeks!) so I’m wondering if that is a big part of it.  I always suspected the extended BFing was keeping my LP on the shorter side.  Before my DD was 1 year when I pumped at work my LP was only 7 or 8 days!

Sorry about the BFN .  I can understand being anxious about your IUI since you’re putting so much energy and $$ into it.  Take an easy weekend this week and de-stress.  I am sure you will figure out what is best for you timing-wise.  Keep your head up!

    View original reply
waterlilly15:  You will want to keep temping to see how your temps play out but you might be right about O’ing around CD 18 or CD 19.  FWIW I have had a weird batch of OPKs which I have had difficulties getting +’s with.  Some of them weren’t truly positive but my temps confirmed O and so I went back and marked the darkest one as + that lined up with my temps.  Could be a possibility!  If your temps keep going up and stay there you might go back and mark the darkest as a positive.

JLBB-brooklyn:  FX for a succesful IUI

    View original reply
happy2bee:  sorry the B6 didn’t work all that well.  But you’re right no spotting is definitely a good sign!  I took some B6 this cycle so I will have to see how my AF is.  I took 50mg before O (it doesn’t seem to delay O for me) and then I only took it for maybe half of my LP (100mg) because I was so sick immediately after O.

MrsR4ever:  the 31st is so close!  I hope they’re not AF cramps but at least you have your appointment and can get the ball rolling if they are.

MrsMellyBean:  hahaha I am sort of getting paranoid at this point since it’s 13 DPO and I’ve never had one this long!  But I think we only BD on CD 8 or CD9 and then not again until like CD 23 so I don’t think it is really possible…but dang!  of course AF will probably show up tomorrow just in time for my trip.

MrsMellyBean:  Wow, 3 years later and still bridges aren’t fixed?! Sounds like the area I live in! Our house made it through this time, but there are so many other people who weren’t so lucky.  It’s pretty shocking and a reality check when you drive down a road that you do so often but see all the houses flooded or off the ground with a boat at their door so they can get to their car. Aww, happy birthday/adoption day to Oliver!!! So happy for you that DH is back!! Even better that he came back before O!

ruby26:  Thank you! My house is in the clear!! Thankfully, the bayou crested earlier then expected yesterday, so the water is receding! Whew! Congrats on the job!! What does a saline sonogram entail??

hogoboom2012:  So sorry about your BFN.  Saw your temp dropped today too.  I completley get your worries and anxieties.  IUI is alot of money.  Maybe take a day or two to destress, and then think about what would be the best timing for yall.  GL hunny!!

    View original reply
waterlilly15:  Yeah, coming off BCP really messes up figuring out your cycle.  This is my 2nd cycle off them.  My first one was 41 days.  If you did O on the 18, it looks like yall had decent timing! FX!

    View original reply
happy2bee:  I haven’t tried the B6. Maybe it’s still regulating in your system and will help lengthen your LP this time.  Less bleeding and earlier O would be great effects of it!

MrsR4ever: Boo for being out this cycle! But at least you have your RE appt to look forward to if AF does does up.

kes18:  That is amazing what a bit of a vitamin can do. I’m sure that the decreased nursing probably helped lengthen it as well. What was your LP like before your DD? I think I’m going to try 100 mg of the B complex after O this cycle and see how it goes! Apparently B vitamins are also good for nausea/hangovers! Sorry that AF will show just in time for your trip- that’s super annoying!

    View original reply
MrsR4ever:  For sure it was  a good thing, plus FF always sikes me out and tells me I’ve O’d before it really happens so I’m used to ignoring it by now ;).

natbrown0703:  Glad to hear you guys are safe and sound! The bridges that are still out here are in a provincial park that cuts through the city and are just little pedestrian bridges so I guess it’s not a big deal but I can relate to seeing all the damage/destruction.  Are you back at work today? Hope you guys don’t get any more rain for awhile!

MrsMellyBean:  I’m not sure what my LP normally is/was. I was on BCP until the cycle I conceived. When I got my period back 7.5mo post partum my LP was just 7 or 8 days until I quit pumping at 1 year and then it went up to 9 and then it went up to 10 last Sept (after I tried 1 cycle of B6). I did have two 11 day LPs thrown in the past 6 months though. 12 is the longest so far!  The nice thing is that there is really no harm in taking B vitamins and they’re not expensive or anything! Plus B12 is supposedly good for energy and you’re right b6 is good for nausea! I’m kind of paranoid now so I might have to test later
