LittleRiver:  THANKS!! It is exciting…. Im curious to see what happens because I’ve been on and off the pill since I was…oh….21? and I do remember my periods coming basically exactly when they were “supposed” to if I had been still taking BC, so hopefully it wont take too long to get on a schedule.

My poor Darling Husband is like “I just have to show up right?”……lol yes…. thats all you have to do you bugger

LittleRiver:  I’d order the Wondfo OPKs from Amazon, if you haven’t all ready. They’re cheap but they work as well as anything.

Turtle83:  That’s exactly it. I am totally at the mercy of my wonky reproductive system but gosh darnit, I’m gonna know all about it!

shanbp:  Welcome to charting! I’m also on my first cycle off HBC and love seeing my temp each morning and charing it on my FF graph.

Currently on day 21 and still no sign of O…didn’t think it would take so long. I assumed for some crazy reason I’d just be normal and ovulate between 13-17 or something…guess it just goes to show there is no “normal” and your body really does need its own time to regulate after HBC. I’m so glad I didn’t start TTC right after stopping the pill b/c I would have gone crazy. I have this weird feeling I might not O this month or my cycles just won’t regulate or work properly. Silly of me, I’m sure it’ll be fine eventually. I remember seeing EWCM like 8 years ago before I went on the pill, so I know it’s possible for me. Each time I go to the bathroom I have to look down and check to see if there’s any, I’m just so excited to finally see it again! That’s it, I’m officially a charting nerd! 🙂

MrsFairyBee:  my first cycle charting and off HBC I had a 35 day cycle. They have steadily shortened since then, but no two have been the same (or even close). When I went off birth control when I was yoUnger I instantly went back to a 28 day cycle. definitely not the case now!

Hi everybody. I’m stuck with my phone since I’m in vacation ( yeah!), so I’m reading but not really commenting. Hello to all the new charters.

daybyday:  So I jinxed myself. My thermometer was favoriting temps. I even tried it 3 times in a row (my temp changes every second) and all 97.52 so I just had to changed the battery. Ha!

MrsFairyBee:  I’ve had cycles where I was sure I wouldn’t O but it will eventually happen! Hang in there and keep checking your CM like you’re doing. I’m a charting nerd too. We all are! 🙂

MrsFairyBee:  Don’t worry, if you were regular before BC your body will regulate eventually! I’ve been off BC for 6 months and my cycles have been getting longer each time but I’m staying hopeful that it’s my body still not quite understanding what’s it’s supposed to do. I had very regular 30-31 day cycles before and I was on BC for 3 years only so staying positive! ita only my second cycle charting and I love it too!

Turtle83:  I almost bought an OPK at the drugstore but left empty-handed.  Those things are expensive!  My BFF from college offered to ship me a whole box that she ordered but didn’t use after she conceived her Dear Daughter on the first try, but they won’t get here in time for this cycle.  Maybe I will pick one up today after all.  Any brand recommendations?

priyawouldntwannabeya:  I was on a low-dose pill for nearly 10 years and am in my early 30’s now.  I’ve been off of it for 4 1/2 months and still no sign of O!  I’ve read that it can take longer for women who are older, but it WILL come back.  Oh, and apparently some women in their 30’s don’t get EWCM, only WCM.  We shall see!  I do love temping, observing, and charting it all

LittleRiver:  I have had those dreams.

I couldn’t be more depressed/discouraged/disappointed this morning. It would appear I did not ovulate, so now I’m back to peeing on sticks and timed intercourse. Awesome. Just what I needed this week.

daybyday:  Your temp could still go up! The fall back rise is from 2-5dpo… you are still within range. If it doesn’t go up tomorrow then maybe you didn’t ovulate yet, but don’t give up yet. You are sure that the OPK was 100% positive?

LittleRiver:  I’ve bought the wondfos from amazon and also the Babi brand ones. Both work great! Babi is cheaper though.  🙂

FreckledFox:  Yeah. I even had my husband confirm, and he had no idea which one was control and test/which one I was hoping was darker. I guess it’s possible that I ovulated like 48 hours after my + OPK AND am experiencing a delayed rise, but I feel like I’m lying to myself. But the OPK! But the EWCM! But the spotting!
