emsy3110:  I feel guilty of the same thing. Sometimes, I think, well if I am not pregnant at least I can do X, Y and Z. Really, I try to trick my brain into thinking that a BFN wasn’t such a bad thing when in reality I do want a BFP. Argh!! Hopefully, I can go back to TTC mode next cycle πŸ˜‰

So…. I told my mom that we are TTC. She straight out asked me today haha we were alone and I DID want to tell her. She was supportive. Didn’t get excited.. But said that she’d be happy whenever and asked if I had opks! I told her I had too much stuff. She laughed and said good πŸ™‚

Its nice to have another person IRL in your corner. I swore her to secrecy though and she told me not to tell my DH that she knows.

Also opks still negative but I got Watery CM! Woo fertile CM! I’m still doin the opks til a temp rise.

FreckledFox:  Oh wow, well it sounds like she was supportive so that’s good! I pretty much told my mom our timeline too because it influenced family travel plans. I never wanted to do that but I feel like all surprises went out the window after the MC news with our families. I’m glad your mom is on your side and even mentioned opks, that’s awesome! πŸ™‚

emsy3110:  Oh I totally get that. My mom wanted to plan a “last hurrah!” trip somewhere all-inclusive out of the country “before babies happen” and I basically had to tell her it might already be too late for that by then and I might not get to enjoy all of the all-inclusive perks and that I was nervouse about being out of the country if something bad were to happen early again in a pregnancy.

MrsFairyBee:  I waa really dreading telling my mom because she was always making jokes about how she needs more time. Jokes always have a bit of truth in them… But she was surprisingly calm! I even mentioned thow I was scared to tell my sister if we got pregnant because she’s think I was stealing her thunder and my mom rolled her eyes and did that hand gesture as if to say, “oh forget her!” So I’m glad I’ve got that out of the way. Is prefer have surprised her with pregnancy news but I guess I still can.

Also, it took my mom 2ish years to conceive their first. I didn’t know opks existed in the 80s! πŸ™‚

emsy3110:  Are these trips ones that you definitely couldn’t enjoy while pregnant? I canceled one trip prior to TTC and I wish I hadn’t. I just never knew what life had planned for me!
