@luli29:  You might not like that your chart is all over the place, but like Bunny said, you’re still high above cover line at 11DPO. Depending on how long your LPs are, that could be a good sign!

@StaceyA:  thanks

@bunny:  this is my first time charting, but my cycles are regular – 30 days. So I’d say about 14 days for my LP

@redsmarties:  You have to take into consideration what I said about my temps. I feel like I can’t count anything, because my thermometer also blows chunks. It usually says I’m at 97.1…like every day. But when I temp an hour later (at my “regular” time) I get the temps above.

And now looking back at my chart – the 97.1 is where it is usally constant. Could it be that my thermometer sucks, or my body like that temp?

@luli29:  Ohhh, right. Yeah, that’s a tricky one. I usually go with the very first temp I get, but that’s because an extra hour of undisturbed sleep doesn’t really affect me. If that’s your case, I would go with your first temp. FF recommends temping only after 3 hours of uninterrupted sleep, so I would go with your 97.1 temp. And definitely try a new thermometer next month, if you keep getting the same reading every day.

@redsmarties:  ๐Ÿ™ Well I’m going to finish off the month in the same way, and I’ll do it correctly, with a new thermometer, next time

@StaceyA:  That is such a good idea! LOL. I can give you silly reasons not to test and you can give me ones. I LOVE IT! AF is due in thirteen days. I will try for 15 days if you promise to try to wait until Saturday??? Deal??

@luli29:  That chart doesn’t blow at all!!!!!! Even with the 97.1 temps… I’d have to agree with redsmarties, that I’d use the first temp of the morning. You had great BD timing and secondary signs of ovulation.. Man, only a few more days for you until missed AF. Are you going to hold out for a few days passed missed AF?

@bunny:  Just an update on my temps about the thermometer thing. I have been temping three times every morning and each time 2/3 are the same and the one that’s not the same is less than .05 different. Are you still using the same thermom? Mine is the pink BBT from Walgreens. It does seem to have fave’s, but the fave’s seem to be accurate.

@ChuckNorris:  Thanks for your kind words, but I just feel like this isn’t my month ๐Ÿ™ I got another BFN today at 12DPO.

@ChuckNorris:  I will do you one better, i’ll wait until at LEAST Sunday – that would be 14DPO. If i am super strong, i’ll wait until Monday. ๐Ÿ™‚ You are stuck now! And.. for today’s reason NOT to test… it’s hump day…. so we should do that! ๐Ÿ˜‰

@luli29:  Sorry to hear, although it is still a little early. Hang in there! If it’s not your month May gives you something to look forward to with another go. ๐Ÿ™‚

My temps are higher again today, 98.36 @ 10DPO. Either it’s a great thing or building up for the greatest temperature crash of all time. LOL.

And all of you will appreciate my dream/nightmare last night. My thermometer wouldn’t give an accurate reading. And i don’t mean it was off by a degree or two… it would race to 168F down to 48F, then up to 195, then down to 10. I was in a panic, called the drugstore and was super angry because it was 15DPO and i NEEDED to know. Of cousre when i woke up this morning I grabbed my thermometer faster than ever and was comforted by a normal number. LOL.

@ChuckNorris:  I have the same thermometer and it has seemed better lately, too.  I’ve been taking my temp 2-4 times back to back, and choosing the “middle” or first temp, depending on what I feel is most accurate.

For example, if my first temp is higher, and the second temp is lower, I assume the first is accurate because my temp should go UP the more awake I am, not down. If the first is low and the latter ones are high, I assume that the low temp is more accurate. If it jumps high-low-high-low or low-high-low-high, I use the one closest to average. But the last few days I’ve felt the first temp is fairly accurate and I’m just taking it more than once to double check.

And here’s my chart:

I took my temp as usual this morning and it was way high. I’m nor expecting ovulation to happen until this weekend based on prior months. However, I kept waking up last night and falling back asleep. Does a somewhat restless night normally spike temps up? I haven’t noticed this big of a difference before. Here’s a link to my chart if interested: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/3b9d1c

@JCar:  When did you temp today compared to usual?

@bunny: same time as usual. I marked today as sleep deprived although I really wasn’t deprived. I temp between 6:05 am and 6:30 am depending on my schedule that day which has never been an issue before. I’ve just never had such a temp spike outside of the TWW.

@JCar:  As usual, the only solution is to wait until tomorrow and see what your temp does then. It could just be a random spike. I get those sometimes.

@luli29:  Hang in there, girl! It’s not over yet!

@bunny:  That is a good looking chart! Much better than mine. It was a high allergy day yesterday (and today unfortunately) and I mouth breathed all night. My temp was lower than it ever had been so I discarded it and retemped after 1 hour of sleep and it was back at my midline lately. 97.18… So no O for me yet.

@JCar:  I had a spike yesterday too which then went back down for me today. =( Reasoning unknown for both of us.

@ChuckNorris:  ooh, I don’t know if you should discard your super low temp. It may have been the mouth breathing — or it may have been a pre-O estrogen surge. Are you paying attention to your CM and/or cervix position ? That’s always my best clue of when I’m going to ovulate.
