Hey guys, I need help with FF settings —

I just started my new cycle, and have decided to start temping at 6:30am in stead of 7, since I kept waking up at that time and it was probably messing up my temps.  My question is, how do I change the default time in FF, so that it knows I’m taking my temp at 6:30am?

I’m pretty sure when I signed up, it asked me at what time I would temp, and I put 7. And if I temp outside of that range, it gives you white circles…so there must be a default time setting somewhere…I just can’t find it.

HALP!

BFN for me today @ 12DPO. Oh well. Sad but nothing you can do. Not even a faint little line, just nothing. Guess maybe we’ll wait and start up again in the fall like we had originally planned.

ETA: temp was still way high but probably because i didn’t sleep much….  that is one dissapointing/good looking chart. LOL.

Gah.

@luli29:  When you click “Enter Data” button then in Primary tab you should see a “Set Default” next to Time: If you click it takes you to settings where you can change the default. Hope this helps. FX this is your month!!

@bunny: Sorry ๐Ÿ™ keeping fx you don’t have any cycsts and can start next cycle.

@StaceyA:  There is still hope until AF. Hoping you get BFP soon!!

I am a bit disappointed we had to cancel IUI since DH woke up too tired from work and late nite. We are just going to get in some extra BDing today & tomorrow and hope it covers all bases. My temps have been up and down pre-O guessing that is effect of clomid not so pretty!

@chastenet:  Thanks. It’s good to get some reassurance that this could be just my normal temps. I guess our body just doesn’t work like a textbook all the time.

@bunny:  Hopefully you’ll have a plan what is next soon.

@StaceyA:  I’m sorry for your BFN. But as PP said it’s not over until AF shows up and your temp is still high. Do you know how long your LP is?

@silver1:  I’m sorry you had to cancel IUI. But who knows maybe this will still be your lucky month. FX!

i am new in posting in the TTC… I am in my first month of charting my temperatures, basically just to keep track of my cycles so that I am more aware of my body when we are ready to TTC… but I don’t think we were really safe in preventing the possibility of pregnancy…

My previous month I had an “annovulatary” cycle according to my GYNO… I got my “period” on day 20 rather than my normal 30 day. So I wasn’t 100% sure that I was going to even O this month…(I didn’t start temping yet)

I have an increasing temperature since O on day 20…. and keeps increasing with today it jumped .3 degrees? Ive been temping at 8 am with 2 days at 730   Should I be preparing for pregnancy tests?  I been reading TCOYF and is this a starting pattern of a “triaphisic” cycle? Is this a normal increase?? Sorry if this is a dumb question and if Im worrying about this too early in the cycle….. ( Also, I really wasn’t putting my CM in the stats)

@Petor2011:  Hi and welcome. No, you were def not safe in preventing a pregnancy. At 7dpo it is still very early to say anything and it could go either way. You could prob test at 10dpo but if you want a more accurate result I recommend to wait until 12dpo or even longer if you can. I hope you’ll get the outcome you are hoping for.

@elchalten:  Not sure, as this was my first cycle charting. Last cycle (which was the first off BCP) AF arrived on CD34…  however I would say probably around 15 days?

Thnks for the input… just a quick background…I was using  the Iperiod app months before I started charting to keep track of my period days and it was pretty accurate into predicting my AF start days.

So I was using both Iperiod and FF to keep track of my temps etc. I convinced myself that I had PCOS or  was infertile because of the month before and according to the IPeriod my fertile period was a week earlier than FF ( since my temps never increased until day 20, I figured I was annovulatary again… since I didn’t have the CM signs).I figured we were safe ..yup the next day the temps drops  I realized the “oops”…. Either way we will be happy, we just wanted to get through this year before TTC…

I causally mentioned to DH that we BD’d during the fertile window.that i got confused with the Iperiod information.. but I don’t want to worry him of a possibility of being preg. too early if not necessary.. Just good to have some support in the waiting time ๐Ÿ™‚

@JCar:  I’m sorry about your odd waking habits, I can related because I’ve done that the last two nights too!!

@luli29:  I just keep changing it to 540 every morning, I dunno how to change it! I would like to know also!

@StaceyA:  A BFN doesn’t mean your out, I didn’t get my BFP until the day after I missed my period. =)

@Petor2011:  Welcome!!!! I’m a newer charter too =) Everyone’s different when it comes to temps and pregnancy, some experience a dip, some consistantly go up, etc etc. I think on FF I read that it’s too common for not-pregnant women to get the triphasic pattern for it to tell much, and too often did pregnant women not get the triphasic pattern, but you know…definitely some risky BD haha. I would recommend testing. I am trying to be a huge promoter for waiting as long as possible (I just think it’s better for mental health…though as the other ladies know I am not good at what I preach because I started testing at 10 DPO last 2 cycles lol…I will be different this cycle!!!) like at least 12 maybe even 14 DPO like Elchalten said. Were you on any hormonal birth control when using the iPeriod app??

@ChuckNorris:  I really needed to stick to our deal!! LOL. I was literally losing sleep last night LOL. One side of me is glad i tested as i’ve been able to focus and be a normal human being however i guess a little uncertainty is still there.

When you got your BFP had you tested prior to the day after AF was due and get clear BFN’s?

@StaceyA:  Yes, I tested every other day starting at 10 DPO with FMU.. The day I got my BFP was faint =) Yeah, I feel like when I test early and get a BFN, it gives me more motivation to go a couple days without testing. I will try to hold on to that feeling whenever I ovulate next…if ever… urghh. Had a rough sleep night last night, woke up at 520 when my alarm is set for 540 for temping, but in my sleepy confusion I thought it was 1 am (why???) so I got up and let the dog out. I realized that it was 520 as I wake up so I temped, it was 97.18 (hi favorite temp!)… I didn’t open my mouth but I did stand for like 30 seconds when I temped.  So I retemped at 645 and it was 97.58… Here’s what my charts look like:

With the temp at 520 after standing:

And the chart with the temp at 645 after standing at 520. FF didn’t make it a white fot so I’m tempted to use that temp

Boo for me being so incoherent when I wake up! Which temp should I use bees?

@ChuckNorris:  Well that gives me a little hope still. ๐Ÿ™‚ I won’t be testing again until Monday when AF is due or Tuesday if she’s not here yet. I’m assuming it’s not going to happen so i won’t waste any more pee sticks ๐Ÿ™‚ ! AF always shows first thing in the morning so if i’m ready to go to work Monday and she’s still not here, i’ll test then. FX for me.

I think i’d use your first temp, your 97.18… but I am not a pro at this LOL. I think that one will be the more accurate even though you had been standing for a brief moment. I think by the later time your temp would have gone up naturally….

Maybe @bunny can help!

@ChuckNorris:  I would use the lower temp as I think it is more accurate.

Anyone else POASing around May 12? I’m going crazy at 6DPO, and I’m looking for a TWW buddy.

@redsmarties:  Me! I’m the same exactly. Though as I said on the MayPOAS thread – I’m planning to test Friday morning the 11th because my parents are coming into town that night. Just hope I can even hold out that long!
