@elchalten:  I thought about that!  And I’m thinking of doing it, my only reasons for continuing on would be if it would possibly help if I had to show them to my doctor or to let me know when AF is coming so I’m not surprised by it at work or something.  I’m not sure I could handle a break down at work.  Cry

@ecomaha: I’m sorry!!!  I have felt like giving up many times…As far as temping goes, do what stresses you out less.  I personally feel more stressed out when I don’t know what’s going on, when I have to guess.  So temping has made me a much happier person overall.  And i try to take it easy on the boards.  I have my favorite threads and people, like this one, but I try to stay away from most of the rest.  I’ll be your email buddy if you need one.

@jaguar: I’ve gotten 10 highs before.  Sorry, that’s not what you wanted to hear.  The least I ever got was 3.  I always got a peak, but when I started temping, it didn’t always match which led me to mis-time some months.  I have only heard great things about the monitor, but I quit using it.  I might start again though next month.  Just make sure you start over next month…take batteries out and reset so that it is on the correct days.  Or I guess you could always start at the day you did this month.  That would probably be the same.  I don’t know.  Hope it works!!

My temp dropped to my period temp today too.  Not shocked really, but I guess a little annoyed.  What is more annoying though is that AF still has not come and I don’t really feel PMSy.  I didn’t take a test today because of the low temp.  Some days AF starts the day after a temp drop, but I just want it to get here already…If by some miracle I really am pg and this is just a weird cycle, my temp will still have to go up at some point.  So I’d say I’m feeling a 5-10% chance of not getting AF.

@JaneyD:  I feel like that is how I would be too.  We get to know so little about what’s going on in there that I feel like temping is all we have!  I’m going to take the days of AF off though.  Just need a break!  And I am the same as you, I’m at AF temp but nothing yet.   I want it to start so it can end!  I’m definitely drinking a glass of wine a day during the TWW this month πŸ™‚

And, yes, this will be my thread for the month, it’s the only ‘safe’ one for me πŸ™‚  And your blog!! πŸ™‚

@brox: Twins πŸ™‚  Your temp during AF is really high!  But everyone’s are different.  I use FF too and really like it.  To get the best idea though, unfortunately, you’re going to need to get probably at least a month in before you can see a trend.  You will learn a ton though!

@JaneyD: Yep, I’ll definitely do a hard reset at the end of the month so it doesn’t skew the results. Thanks! Yipes. 10 highs in a row. Not looking forward to that!

@ecomaha: Yeah, I have no idea yet. I just get out of bed at 7a.m., temp, and record it on FF mobile. I was curious to see if the high temp had anything to do with me being so low energy during that time. I don’t feel so lethargic as I did a couple of days ago. I see my doctor tomorrow, so maybe she’ll have some answers for me.

@brox:  also, are you taking your temp before you sit up or move much?  i actually keep my thermometer under a pillow so i can minimize the amount i have to move πŸ™‚  if you get up it will affect your temp.  seems crazy, but true! πŸ™‚

@ecomaha: I just walk a few steps to our bathroom and take my temp. The beeping would annoy my sleeping husband if I did it in bed.

@brox: Hi! I just wanted to chime in for a sec to give you the best chance possible while charting (since I just started). All the info I’ve gathered on charting has said that you should temp even before getting out of bed in the AM, like eyes half closed sticking a thermometer in your mouth. Any movement can skew your temps, from what I understand. Just want to help get you to your BFP! πŸ™‚

I’m 11DPO and cautiously optimistic… my temp has stayed up. I’ve been having cramps and every now and then this pulling feeling from below my belly button to my lady parts. The ladies on the TWW thread said that’s a good thing! I’m trying not to get too excited though…

HPT when I got home was BFN. Blah.

Edited to add: FF is saying that the chart is “possibly triphasic” on CD22… anyone else get that? What does that mean?

@ecomaha: I’ll try that tomorrow morning and see if it’s different. I wish I knew this before I said, hey, I’m going to take my temp this cycle. Luckily, I’m at the tail end of AF, so the important temping isn’t until the end of this week, early next week, so I could still catch it and hit my mark.

@brox:  Like shimmerofheaven said, you want to move as little as possible to get the most accurate temperature reading.  I keep mine on my night stand so all I have to do is reach out with one arm and grab it.  If you cover the speaker with your finger, the beeping is barely audible.  I’ve hear that you can also stick a piece of tape over the speaker to muffle it too!
