@brox: It’s definitely early enough where it might not matter so much… I started temping on CD3 this cycle and I seem to be getting some pretty accurate info. I didn’t think it would be so fascinating to see how my temps/CP/CM change throughout my cycle, but it is!

@shimmerofheaven: Triphasic means you have a second temp shift (like the O shift).  More women who are pregnant have triphasic charts, than those who aren’t, but being triphasic doesn’t necessarily mean you are pg and you can definitely be pg without being triphasic.  Make sense?  It’s another one of those “cautiously optimistic” type signs.

Quick question re: temps after ovulation for those ladies who have had a BFP – Did your temps continue to increase after ovulation or did they stabilise?

My temps normally fluctuate a little during my TWW but this month they’ve been pretty much stable – if I was pregnant would they keep rising?

Here’s my chart:

@Kemma: There is just no rule which is frustrating. My rule of thumb, higher is better.  But if you check out pg charts (I like TCOYF) you’ll see all kinds of temps, some barely over cover line or a day under cover line.  Mine went down then back up the month I got pregnant…

@JaneyD:  Thanks, I’ve been checking the Chart Gallery on FF and there’s such a wide variety of charts, even in just the pregnancy section!  It’s so hard to know what’s normal…

I normally try to avoid symptom spotting and chart stalking during my TWW but I gave in to myself this month (sigh).  I’m hoping that my sore boobs and steady temps are a positive sign!  And I o’d on 11/11/11 so that has to be lucky, right?!

@Kemma:  Your chart looks very promising!  I hear you though on the disparate charts on FF, it’s very hard to identity what’s “typical”.  I think no matter what your chart you can find examples if similar ones for pregnancy and not.  It’s enough to drive a girl in the TWW crazy!

@shimmerofheaven:  I’ve never had a triphasic chart before but yours looks like a beauty!

@Audreysdance:  Your coverline looks a little high to me, but your post-O temps are totally normal!  They’re way higher than mine if it makes you feel better.  I had to switch your chart to Celsius, but your Post O’s are around 36.8, mine are at 36.5…Nothing to worry about in my opinion

Edit: by your coverline looks high, I mean I think FF set it kind of high, not that it’s a bad thing for it to be high.

So now I have no idea what’s going on.  My temp dropped at 12 DPO so I was prepared for AF.  I had some (TMI) brown spotting.  Then today my temp is still low but I have no signs of AF.  Any idea what is going on?  Is AF just trying to mess with me?

Thanks chastenet.I thought the coverline seemed a bit high as well but that’s where FF wanted to put it.

I am so curious to see if my CBEFM matching my temping data of 6 months.

I have heard that the first month the monitor cand be off. Is this true?

Babydust to all!

@ecomaha:  Well, 12 dpo isn’t too late for implantation, so maybe that’s why you’re spotting?  Let’s hope so!  🙂

@shimmerofheaven:The month I got my bfp they said  I had a “possibly triphasic.” It means that your temp. raises 3 times during your cycle and not just after ovulation. It’s a very good sign! Your symptoms sound really promising! Good luck!

@Kemma:My temp. was pretty stable before I got my bfp, but just remember one temperature doesn’t mean that much:)
