@StaceyA: Luckily he doesn’t have to have the SA repeated, I just need to take five minutes of my time to call the fertility clinic and get it faxed over to my GYN. Yes, only five minutes, but it’s just the principle of the fact. But, very true, I think I will ask if it would be possible to get the referral without having those tests done if the fertility clinic will want to have them done there anyway? It’s worth a shot. Thanks for the advice! πŸ™‚

@Yellow.Clover:  Anytime! My clinic said they usually will do their own testing (for SA too) especially if the last set of labs were a little bit old. Luckily ours weren’t, and my GP is also an OB so she was smart enough to run all the tests that were required before starting with the consult/treatment at the clinic. But, totally worth a phone call in your case. Your Dr may just be able to do the referral and say that the patient prefers to do the necessary tests at their location. Totally worth a shot! I’m glad you are getting things rolling – i’m so over this process of long cycles and the mysteries. As much as it sucks to hear that we’re not “normal and healthy” it has been nice to have answers, suggestions and a plan moving forward.

@StaceyA:  Thanks hon – that’s totally what I figured. If I told him he needs to take something for that area, he might start thinking he has an issue in that area and obsess over it. I’ll leave it be for now. We’ll see if he googles it though! haha He seemed a tad suspicious.

@Yellow.Clover:  i have NO idea what this is like, but if you can’t get into a Naturo, what about trying something like this??? http://natural-fertility-info.com/natural-fertility-email-consultations The website seems really good, lots of the strategies match what my Naturo told me to do, but again, just reading through the pages would be Information Overload, I think… So the personal consultation might be useful???? But I have no experience with it, only just came across it then πŸ™‚ I’d have a browse around the rest of the website first.

@hardtoconcentrate:  i went to my Naturo a little over once a month – I probably didn’t NEED to go that often, but she was so supportive and knowledgeable that I liked to see her πŸ™‚ Especially when I felt like my GP and Gyn weren’t being very helpful!!!

@MrsPuddingface:  i think you’ve found a great solution to both problems!! I love the white lie you told your hubby – mine was thrilled to attribute his higher libido to CoQ10 on his own terms (I’m not even sure that’s what did it, haha), so I think even if yours notices you can just say something like “well, that’s a pleasant side-effect” πŸ˜‰ And the Vitex capsule seems like an excellent way to get started without fear of taking something that will mess with your cycle even more. Success all round, what a clever lady – and sounds like an awesome store!!

@lindsayandchris09:  welcome to the Charters πŸ™‚ I agree with others that it is too soon to see much on your chart, but I would also consider changing your temping time now – the first month is always a bit wonky anyway as you work though the process and make it a habit, but then you’ll be starting next cycle off with a nice clear pattern (if you have to do next cycle, that is πŸ™‚ )

@ScottishMrs:  That does sound a little worrisome. Have you had anything done “up there” lately? (internal ultrasound, checking your cervix a lot etc?). Sounds like a possible infection? If you are checking your cervix I read in a few books about how you should always wash your hands multiple times before doing a CP check as there can be lots of bacteria on your hands/fingers/finger nails that can create an issue. Perhaps you have just irritated it?

I’d say if you aren’t feeling any improvement by tomorrow to get in to see a doctor. Painful intercourse and and pain when applying pressure doesn’t sound normal. Keep us posted but definitely get checked out in the AM if you can. OX Hoping you are feeling better.

@ScottishMrs:  just wanted to check in and see how you were feeling this morning hun. I am hoping there is no infection, maybe your cervix is slightly irritated? But, if you are still in pain definitely get in to see a doctor and get it looked at. *hugs*. No something you want to be dealing with right now!

I had another internal u/s this AM and the routine BW. Go back for another u/s&BW Sat and if my follicle is still small (progressing slowly!) they will start me on meds. Unfortunately my Dr. wasn’t in this morning so I didn’t get to talk to him about the septate. I did ask the nurse a little about it and she said “without knowing how big it is, I don’t want to give you false info”. So, when I told her it was 0.8cm she said “oh, that’s really small… I doubt he would want to do surgery on that, but it is up to him.” She didn’t seem concerned which is a huge relief! My DH doesn’t want me to do any surgery unless absolutely necesary, and from what I can get off her reaction it’s looking like perhaps it’s a minor septate. FX, anyways. The u/s tech said I have a LOT of eggs, which was funny and reassuring, somehow. lol.

Day CD12, my temping is a little irratic and frankly I’m not caring much. lol. Figured since i’m getting ultrasounds done every other day they will tell me when I’m about to O, so just doing it when I can to have a chart on file for this month.

Happy hump day ladies!

@ScottishMrs:  Hey there, I just saw what’s going on with you.  How are you feeling this morning?

@StaceyA:  That’s so great that the septate issue is very minor and surgery should be unnecessary.  What a relief!

@MrsEagleEye: Your chart is looking great!!

AFM, I don’t know what to think about my thermometer, so I have a little rant.   If you look at my chart (http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/hardtoconcentrate), it looks ridiculous – same temp(98.1)  for 6 days since O.   Everything I read online says the thermometer must be screwed up, but it’s given me different readings all throughout the day so it’s not stuck at 98.1.  I remembered I bought 2 when I started temping 8 months ago, so I found the other one that hasn’t been used yet and decided to compare.  Here’s what I came up with:

Last night: 98.3 on old therm, 98.8 on new therm

3:30am (because I woke up and was curious): 97.9 on old therm, didn’t measure on new

6:30am (normal temp time): 98.1 on old therm, 98.4 on new therm

8:30am (before getting out of bed): 98.6 on old therm, 98.8 on new therm

So, I learned there’s definitely variation on my old thermometer, and it’s consistent with my normal post-O temps at various times of day. BUT, there’s no consistency between the old therm and new therm!  I thought about switching to the new therm mid-cycle.  That will give me an artificial rise because the new therm is measuring higher, but more importantly, I’m not sure I trust the new one either.  There’s no consistency in the variation, and I’m a bit attached to old faithful.   But what is up with 98.1 every morning on my old therm???

Luckily, I’ve already O’d so my temps don’t really matter.  I considered stopping temping until AF gets close but that feels like blasphemy – how would I get through the morning without a temp to obsess over?!?!? πŸ˜‰ As if I didn’t have enough to obsess over in the TWW, now I have to wonder if my thermometer is accurate. Le sigh.

@hardtoconcentrate:  Holy flat temperatures!!  That sure is odd.  I have no useful advice since my thermometer is a fav-lover.  Like you said, at least you know you’ve O’d already!

@doxielove:  Ha, I know, it’s so strange.  Talk about a hideous chart! πŸ˜‰  How are you doing?  Feeling like O is approaching?
