@StaceyA: No, I completely understand. Trust me. I thought about lying as well, but I decided to just let ride and truly give it ALL I had for the proper amount time. I understand being impatient, being that we just hit our 16-month anniversary today and still aren’t into the fertility clinic. I’m the most impatient person there is, but maybe I’m just old fashioned and believe it should be done in proper orders? I hope you didn’t take offense. Each person has their own reasoning for what they do…and you chose to take action and go for it. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that and I’m beyond excited for you!! I really see good things coming for you! I love how it’s just completely awakened you…you have been so happy and optimistic and that’s truly a beautiful thing! XOXO

@doxielove:  Ha, I do feel like it’s a bit of a science experiment – every morning, I’m like, “what’s going to happen today??”  About the spotting, many women spot at O time, so hopefully it’s a very good sign that that’s happening!  And I am so with you on the p word.  I can’t say it r even type it – totally skeeves me out.  My sister like to say it in front of me just to see how grossed out I get.  haha

@Yellow.Clover:  lol, I didn’t take offence at all! πŸ˜‰ I totally agree with you. Everyone does things at their own pace, and I believe doctors should always be on your side and make their suggestions/recommendations based off your medical history and current situation. πŸ™‚
How are you doing my dear? Sometimes a little WB break is good for all of us. πŸ™‚

@doxielove:  whenever I get a spot from period or whatnot I always immediately rinse with cold water and add some shaving cream and rub around a little with the cold water. I have NO clue where I got this tehcnique, but I feel like my Mom taught it to me way back in HS??? So the shaving cream I always used was just plain old barbosol because that’s what my cheap parents got for me to shave with back then. Anyways apparently hot water sets the stain so thats why it’s cold water. THEN you spray some tide or shout stuff on it and then wash normally. You can also use hydrogen peroxide (I hear that works wonders on blood stains) Anyways this method almost always works for me.. unless I don’t take care of it immediately (like within the day) and let the stain set.

@pinkshoes:  it is SO not crazy. funny thing just happened with me and DH. DH doesn’t wanna deal with stuff while on our delayed honeymoon in February… So initially we were thinking of going one week, but DH figured if everything stays as it has been… I’ll be super fertile that week. So now he wants to go the week after because it should post o time (according to projections).

@hardtoconcentrate:  I actually sort of hope I’m NOT Oing.  We haven’t BD since Monday, so not the best timing.  I’m not expecting O for another week or so.  Perhaps it’s just random mid cycle spotting.  *sigh*  Gotta love the strange things our bodies do!!

@Woodstock:  Wow, I’ve never heard of the shave cream, I’m going to try that!!  Usually I just do cold water and Shout but that never seems to take care of the stain.

@doxielove:  I just did some more reading… and since you said shout doesnt work (maybe mine does b/c it’s tide with oxy boost spray stuff??) I would definitely pour some hydrogen peroxide on that baby NOW! lol The sooner you do it the better.. and I’d wash your undies as soon as possible too.

@Yellow.Clover:  Thanks!  I wasn’t planning to lie to my doctor.  Mostly just wondering if they would care if I brought up TTC to him at the 5 month mark vs 6, and also whether getting DH’s sperm (or myself) tested at 5 months vs 6 changed anything as far as insurance coverage.  From your response it sounds like they probably won’t cover it until a yr, especially since my cycles are pretty regular and LP seems to be of normal length.  I guess that depends on the doctor though, some seem much more proactive while others are content to just wait it out (of course they are, they don’t have to do the waiting!).  I do realize that there could be nothing wrong and all of this is for naught, but I am a planner so I like to think about all possible outcomes and avenues before they happen so I can prepare myself best for each.  Remember those choose-your-own-ending books?  When I was little I would read those but I wouldn’t choose anything until I had gone to the end, figured out which ending I wanted to get, and then backed it out from there to see how to get it, lol    You are right though, if nothing is wrong and we get our BFP in the next few cycles it would be silly to have started testing and uncomfortable too!  I’ll wait til the 6 month mark and have DH tested first as it’s easier for him to provide a sample.  If he comes back with no issues, I may try to see if I can get some bloodwork done or something.  Hope you are enjoying your break from the bee, we miss you!

@ScottishMrs:

Thanks for the advice on stain removal ladies!  I had never heard of most of these remedies, but I will try them next time!  I usually use Shout Advanced Ultra Concentrated Gel with the bristle applicator, and I find the bristles help to penetrate the stain.  Maybe try the shaving cream or hydrogen peroxide first and then use this before washing?

@doxielove:  Oh, gotcha. Well, just as a heads up, when I went off the pill, the first month I O’d late (for me) at CD19 and ever since have O’d earlier around CD13 or 14. So, you may have O’d late last month since the pill was getting out of your system, and it will probably move to a little earlier this cycle.

@hardtoconcentrate:  Well, looks like I need to pounce DH tonight, just in case Cool  I’m kind of feeling blah about this cycle.  Not really into trying.  This whole timing BD is exhausting!!

ETA – and I mean that in a completely non-whiny way.  It’s only cycle 2 so I don’t want to come off sounding annoying haha!

@StaceyA:  It does suck a lot, but today I can breathe and have only a minor runny nose. The worst part is this horrible migraine. I just want silence and dark…aka a cave. A cave sounds nice. But a heated cave.

@ScottishMrs:  YAY! SEX! That reminds me of when I went off of birth control and it was so amazing to have sex and I wanted to have sex all the time and then my husband stopped wanting to have sex because his diabetes got worse. Lol. FX for you this cycle!! πŸ™‚

@doxielove:  I agree with hardtoconcentrate. First month I o’d on CD18, second CD15, and third CD14. When in doubt, hump it out! Hahaha.
