@hardtoconcentrate:  Your chart is interesting for sure!  I looked at the FF gallery and there is a whole category for “flat temperatures”.. did you look through those charts?  There are a few that have several days of flat temps in the LP.  Also, I think the fact that you are using a thermo that only measures to 0.1 degrees is contributing to the trend.  I think you are just having a very steady LP. πŸ™‚

Congrats to everyone who got BFPs!  I am not sure that I O’d last cycle… would love to know what the charting community thinks.  I had the opposite problem of flat temps in the LP and had this crazy saw tooth “rise”. πŸ™

@pinkshoes:  I don’t think you are crazy.  If I had a 95+ day cycle and then found out I might be out of town for my next O I would probably freak.  If there is any wiggle room to travel less I would say go for it.  You of course know your job and the requirements best.  I hope the timing works out for you!

@terisa2012:  Every morning I want to throw my thermometer against the wall when 98.1 pops up. πŸ˜‰  I’ve read that the thermometer only going to .1 degrees contributes, but I don’t think that really applies in my case since I’ve been using a .1 degree thermometer since I started charting 8 months ago and always had chart fluctuations.  Either way, I’m going to start using a new thermometer next cycle because I’m using 2 right now to confirm (both showing a flat line), and it’s just annoying.  I have looked at the gallery (might have spent way too long doing it…) for flat temps – there are some out there, but I have yet to find any with 8 straight days of it in the LP.  At this point, I’m just waiting it out.  If I’m pg, then the wacky chart will be explained.  If I’m not, I’m going to chalk it up to thermometer issues.

About your chart, it doesn’t show a clear biphasic pattern but you *may* have O’d on CD23 – you have a dip and then your temps all stay above 97.05.  But it’s not clear so it’s hard to say.  Maybe try plugging in EWCM for CD23 and see if CHs show then?  I wish I had a clearer answer.

@krystallite:  It’s crazy, right?!  I kinda want to stop temping because the flat line is driving me crazy, but I’m too curious what it’ll do every day.

AFM, the flat line is still confirmed by the second thermometer, and I’m still getting different temps at other times of the day. *sigh*

@glittermoon:  “When in doubt, hump it out.”  <<–I love this!!  LOL.

Good news.  I was able to save my undies AND we got a BD session in.  Wahoo!!  lol.  No temp spike this AM, so I’m skeptical I’m Oing.  Maybe today πŸ™‚

@hardtoconcentrate:  How frustrating for you. FX that those temps start to behave themselves soon.

Went to my GP yesterday and she’s lovely. Since I’m turning 35 in June and had some long cycles ten years ago (when I was heavier and had PCOS style symptoms), she’s asked for some bloodwork to see if there’s anything funny. She’s also going to refer me to a fertility clinic here in town.

She says that half of the time the women she refers fall pregnant that cycle. So FX for random weirdness of referral luck.

That said, I’m feeling pretty happy since it looks like I O’d on CD20. And FOR ONCE — our timing was pretty good, O-3, 0-2, and 0+1. Hurray!

Fighting off some weird semi-chest pain. hoping that might go away soon. Suspect it’s my asthma with the extreme cold of the past few days.

@doxielove:  Ha, sounds like you had a successful evening all around. Yeah, I’m so done with this thermometer.  And the new one I’m using to confirm that is also giving me a flat line….

@canadablue:  Haha thanks.  Great BD timing!  Chart is looking good – at least there appears to be a clear O date (as long as your temps stay up) as opposed to last cycle.  Hopefully, you’ll be part of that 50%!

@hardtoconcentrate:  Since you are using two thermos that are both showing a flat line, I think you are just having really steady temps in the LP.  But I understand it is weird and frustrating!  If I had flat temps I’d probably take my temp 15 minutes early or late to see if it changed, or try the opposite side of my mouth, or have a few glasses of wine before bed. πŸ˜‰  At least your temp is still up! πŸ™‚

This chart would have 8 days of flat temps if they were using a 0.1 deg accuracy: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/ChartGallery/154399.html

Here’s another with 8 days of flat temps: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/ChartGallery/154165.htm

As for my chart if I put EWCM @ CD23 it suddenly thinks I O’d at CD28, which makes no sense to me!

@MrsEagleEye:  I’d love to have work as a distraction from TTC, but unfortunately my job isn’t incredibly busy (or I’m just really fast at getting sh!t done), so I have a lot of downtime at my disposal. That’s awesome about you guys looking for a bigger house…..and getting one built? MY DREAM! I love that! You’ll be able to choose exactly what you want and not have to worry about renos or anything going wrong right away. SO jealous! DH and I will be looking to buy a place in April, I think. We’ll see how that goes. Don’t worry about the IVF thing at this point….go ahead with your plans. Should you need IVF in the future, you’ll probably have re-built your savings, OR you could take out a line of credit on your house with a low interest rate. I hope you find your perfect house love….that’s SO exciting!
