@chelles07:  hi honey, coming out of lurker status for a minute in response to your post about picking up some vitex – vitex tends to take 2 or 3 cycles to have any effect on most people’s cycles, and some people who have quite regular cycles find that it does more harm than good (Jean Twenge in the “Impatient Women’s Guide…” said it took a few months to realise it was causing spotting issues, then a few months to get it out of her system).

I swear by Vitex and believe that it helped my irregular cycles and to get my BFP, but I’d be careful about self-diagnosing if your cycles are usually regular. This could just be a slightly later O this cycle. All the best – hope it’s not far away!!!

Hi everyone, lurking away with crossed fingers for you all!! xxx

So, FF went ahead today and moved my O date to Thursday. So I’m pretty sure we’re definitely out on this month. We uh..eh hem, didn’t finish properly that day. Bummer, but oh well.

WOW, I missed a lot being gone for the last 5 days!  I don’t realize how chatty we are until I have to try to catch up. πŸ˜‰

TTC or TTA: TTC!

CYCLE DAY AND CYCLES TRYING or TTC START DATE: CD18, 5DPO, 7th cycle trying

AGE: 31

CHART LINK: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/hardtoconcentrate. Nothing to see there – not temping this cycle.  Which feels amazing!

ESTIMATED POAS DAY: 14DPO if I’m not spotting, which is March 19th

ISSUES (IF ANY): None that we know of.  I had fertility bloodwork last month and all was good, and I’m going for a pelvic u/s in 2 days.  DH will be getting an SA here soon, too.

HOW ARE YOU GOING ABOUT GETTING YOUR BFP? (BD SCHEDULE, OPK’S ETC): I took it easy this month and stopped temping, and it has been awesome.  I just had to think about it for a full minute to figure out how many DPO I was, whereas I used to think about it all day, every day.  I pretty much always O on CD13, so I just used OPKs to confirm that this cycle.  I may not go back to temping.

TELL US SOMETHING MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU? I was a complete wild child when I was a teen and in college and have done a 180, so lots of people don’t know how wild I am underneath it all.  Came home with my first tattoo at 14, second at 17, was often brought home by the cops, was pretty experimental and not so chaste and took a little “break” from college so I could party it up for a year.  Now I’m an accountant with a PhD and I teach accounting in college – could I sound more straight-laced?!  People who have met me later on in my life have no idea.  πŸ˜‰

WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT DOING AFTER YOU GET YOUR BFP? Other than telling DH (because of course that’s what I’m most excited about!), I’m excited to get a baby bump and just to be pg for the first time.  While every pregnancy is special, there’s something so amazing about first-time pregnancies and the newness and excitement of it all.

Now to catch up with everyone…

@StaceyA:  Love the roll call questions, this is fun!  And I can’t believe you’re a lingerie model – that is so cool!  I did a boudoir shoot for DH when we got married, and I had so much fun.  I imagine that getting paid for that would make it even better. πŸ˜‰  And your chart is looking amazing!!

@Woodstock:  That’s so strange that you haven’t O’d yet.  Remind me again what type of exercise you started?  I remember talking about it a while back.  Are you suddenly hard core exercising?

@MrsR4ever:  Major FX for you, hun!

@MrsCarnival:  You’re married to a professional athlete?  Very cool!  Huge sports nut here so I love that!

@bananasareyellow:  Congrats about the weight loss and about keeping it off.  That’s amazing.

@calibee79:  Maternity clothes have seriously come along way.  My sister and I were just talking about how when she was pg with her first 14 years ago, she wear huge sweatshirts and stirrup pants.  We’ve come so far! πŸ˜‰

@doxielove:  Do you think you could be O’ing??  Your temps look like it!  FX!!!!

@MrsPuddingface:  I can’t believe it’s CD26 with no O yet again.  I’m sorry.  Ugh, SO frustrating! XOXOXO

@FreckledFox:  Holy sh!tballs, I can’t believe you pierced your own hood!  I’m both terrified and filled with respect at the same time!  Hahaha that’s hard core.

@Mrs.LemonDrop:  Your family sounds like mine but I’m the baby!  I have a brother who is 15 years older than me.  He had kids really young, so I have a nephew who is 6 years younger than me.  I was super close growing up with my nephew because of that.  Hopefully it’ll be like that for your sister and your future kids!

@hamikay:  thanks for the info. Still no O today at CD19. I think, especially reading what you posted, I’m going to hold off a cycle or 2 before I try it. I did some research myself and some ladies raved about it but other stories made me a bit apprehensive.

@hardtoconcentrate:  Nice to see you, I’ve missed you!!  I hope I’m Oing, although I’m trying not to get my hopes up.  I may cry if I O on CD 40 again.  We’ll see how my temps behave the next several days.  Are you looking forward to your u/s?  I guess “looking forward” isn’t the right way to put it, but, are you ready for it?  Did your DH schedule his SA yet?  I hope you guys get some answers soon!

@chelles07:  I hope you O soon!  Is this the latest you’ve O’d since you’ve started tracking?

@hardtoconcentrate:  Hi! nice to se you back, and you honestly do “sound” in a different spirit! I think this no temping thing might be the best thing for you!  πŸ™‚ I wish you much luck!  And yes, i was WAY too crazy to do that! I dont know HOW I did. I should also add I got all my tattoos and piercings in a 2 year time period. Then i must’ve grown out of it! Addicted? I refuse to believe i was!

I also used to attend heavy/death metal shows and jump in the mosh pit, but i’m also out of that. πŸ˜‰ DH almost didnt want to date me because he though I was till into that! Now, I love me some Fleet Foxes and Decemberists!

@chelles07:  I agree with your decison! Some girls are RAVING about Vitex, but it got me a bit overwhelmed… so I might hold off too. I did like my Fish Oil though. πŸ™‚  i read that Vitex (Chastetree-Berry) was also used by Monks to lower their sexual feeling/libido. (like Chastity). THAT is one of the reasons I didn’t want to take it! I have a low enough sex drive as it is! But i might if these wacky cycles persist. MUCH O-dust to you!!

@FreckledFox:  This was totally me, too.  I got my tongue pierced twice as well as my navel multiple times (I was a fickle teenager and kept taking them out) and 2 tattoos all in a short span and was done with all that within a couple years.  Now the thought of my tongue piercing skeeves me out (not on other people, but for ME, I mean), so I’ve definitely changed!

@doxielove:  Hi there!  I’m nervous about my u/s.  I really dislike doctors being in that area….not that anyone loves that. πŸ˜‰  DH and I talked today and decided he’ll go do the SA when AF shows up in 10 days.  Which is fine with me, because if I don’t get AF, there’s no point, and if I do, he’ll be getting it done in a couple weeks, so either way, we’ll know something one way or another soon.  I realllllly hope you don’t O on cd40 again.  I’m crossing everything for you!!!

@hardtoconcentrate:  Just running 4-5 times a week. Now that I think about it… I always had long cycles when I swam and worked out. I barely had my period in HS, hit college and it wasn’t until I stopped swimming (sophmore year) that I had somewhat consistent but long cycles. I was still working out for the Navy… But after I graduated I got out of the routine of exercising that much, probably only 1-2 times a week. I was only on the pill for a little under 2 years before I came off in Nov. I’m guessing my body is just sensitive to exercise? or it’s still adjusting coming off the pill

well we had a successful baby shower for my niece today me. πŸ™‚ so much fun, post shower he asked me if there was any way we could be pregnant. Oh men…. they just don’t get it, even though DH is a big part of me charting and I email him the graphs every month. I told him I haven’t ovulated yet but we’ve had some good timing so you never know. Melts my heart that he wants to be a daddy
