@anotherbee:  This is our 3rd cycle off BCP and TTC. I got positive OPK’s last month, and have had a normal 26-28 cycle since coming off. Is is still possible I could be feeling effects of coming off BCP?

Here is my chart…. FF says I am 5DPO today….

@anotherbee:  Good luck with the Clomid ladies! Just keep in mind Clomid can possibly delay your normal O time. I used to O around CD15-18 now it’s around CD20. Hope it does the “trick” for you.

@RoyalLime:  Thanks lady, never thought about putting it in my pillow case! : )

Also, it just looks like you missed your surge. If you indeed O’d on CD11, you should’ve got your positive on CD10 and you would’ve got a negative OPK on CD12. Was that OPK on CD 12 stark white or a light line? I would keep testing, but if your temp goes back up tomorrow above CL, I would say you did O CD11.

@RoyalLime:  I’ve learned that anything is possible when TTC πŸ™‚

I’ve been off BCP for a year, and my cycles are still all over the place. but if you’re having consisten cycle lenghts, you’re probably doing good.

Take this with a grain of salt: I was told the dips below the CL more than 2 DPO (fall back temp) are not o. So if you haven’t gotten a pos OPK and with that dip on CD 15, I’m going to say no o yet. But maybe today/tomorrow. I don’t use FF, I use TCOYF, but I’m wondering why it gave you cross hairs since you’re supposed to have 3 temps higher than the previous 6. I’m wondering if it’s coutning your CM recorded on CD 10.

Like I said, take that with a grain of salt. I might be way off base on that!

@Yellow.Clover:  you can’t delay what doesn’t happen! I’d be happy to O on CD 20! πŸ™‚

Hi ladies, checking in here after being MIA for a few weeks.  Last cycle was a bit of a disappointment.  My LP was only 8 days!  (even though I’ve been taking B50 for 1.5 months)  Also, it was my shortest cycle yet, at only 25 days.  So, hmmm.  That’s fun.

I had my progesterone checked at CD21 and it was 11.4.  My Dr. said that was fine, and indicated that I must have ovulated around day 14ish – which is wrong since I knew that CD21 was only 4DPO for me according to FF.  The thyroid tests came back normal too.

So, what to do?  I’m planning to up my B6 consumption from 50mg to 100 mg/day.  I ordered some Vitex, and plan to start that as soon as it arrives in the mail.  I plan to also use progesterone cream after O is confirmed.

I guess I have to wait a few months before going back to the Dr. since according to her tests, she thinks everything is fine.  I suppose I need a few more months charting to show that my LP really is F’d.  Also, if the next step is clomid, I guess I sort of want to give it a few more attempts before going that route.

Having just completed cycle 6 of TTC, at age 32, I’m sort of defeated.  I know we’re still not out, but I’m actually starting to think about Plan B, the No Kids Plan.  Anyways…CD4 today.

@Yellow.Clover:  It had a very faint line. Then yesterday the morning one was a light line and evening was stark white. Took one this morning and it was a faint line… I guess I will see what this evening brings.  I so much appreciate your input!

@anotherbee:  Good to know. I will see what my temps do in the next couple weeks. I actually was woken up at 12:30am, 2:30am (I temped at this time and it was 97.7) then 4am (normal temp time it was 97.6) So maybe that is throwing things off too. I haven’t had CM like I did last month at all. In fact I haven’t had much of anything πŸ™

@RoyalLime:  Thanks!! It’s funny you guys said that – I was just looking at the difference between this chart and last cycle’s and thinking how much nicer it looks. If you go back and look at the July 29 cycle, you’ll see why – my temps were all over the map. I think the big difference has been that instead of temping when I wake up (anywhere from 2am onwards), and sometimes temping 3 times for 3 wake-ups, I’ve just not paid attention to it. I am now only temping once, and only at 6:30am right before I get out of bed. And on the weekend I was about an hour later, but I adjusted my time to 6:30am. Instead of charting all my different-time temps, I’ve become more regimented in it – and I REALLY think it shows in the difference between those 2 charts. I guess I’ll get to see the real difference once I O, and in the temps surrounding that, but for now it’s looking much smoother with using the one-time-only temps.

@MsWasatch:  It looks positive to me! I think the only way you’d get it to go darker would be to do strips every hour or so after that – leave it another 4 hours and you might miss the surge. I say GET ON IT! πŸ˜‰

@razzzzzz:  Sorry about your 8 day LP – but glad you have a plan to try to bring it up a bit. Good luck! πŸ˜‰

@MrsPuddingface:  That’s a pretty good looking chart.  I was just hoping to get a look of your chart, and there it is!  It’s looking better than mine, though mine was pretty nice last cycle.  Of course I’m not TTC yet, so mine is missing all those AMs, PMs, and Xs.  Looking at your previous chart and all those AMs, PMs, and Xs, I can see why you’re so chipper, lol. Tongue Out  Sorry to be so forward, but you’re like a friend in my head.  Because our weddings are just 1 day apart and we’re both new to TTC, though you started a couple cycles before I will.  Also, you are just so funny and cute, lol.

@razzzzzz:  Oh, sorry for the short LP and cycle.  Did you show your Dr. your charts indicating some more information to determine o date?  My cycles are always short at about 24 days.  I had my first complete chart last cycle, and my LP was 9 days.  So I’m curious to see your journey and what you decide to do.  How long have you been charting?  There are a lot of people who don’t get pregnant in the first 6 months but do eventually get pregnant. And 32 is not so old as to give up hope!  At least I hope not, as I won’t start trying until next cycle and I’m 34!

Okay, this is my 3 cycle charting.  The first was a bust because of all my travel, temps were all over the place, and o couldn’t be detected.  So that one’s out.  The last one was perfect . . . well, my charting was perfect, even if my cycle is less than perfect with its short LP and even shorter than average at 23 days.  This cycle charting’s going pretty well.  I still don’t get cervical position, and my temping time consistency hasn’t been as perfect as it was last month, but still pretty good.  I got a positive OPK today.  If this cycle is like last, I’ll o tomorrow, on CD14.  Maybe I’ll get lucky and my cycle will be 24 days and I’ll have at least a borderline decent LP of 10 days.  But once this cycle’s done (the week of our wedding!) and I have 2 good charts under my belt, I’ll feel pretty confident that I understand what’s going on with my body.

@MrsPuddingface:  I’mnot tally changing to your strategy for temping on my next cycle. Right now my average temp time is 5am and I adjust up and down accordingly. Next cycle I’m adjusting it to 7am and just temping when my alarm goes off. Hopefully I’ll have better charts then!

@razzzzzz:  hey there, i know it’s hard on CD4, coz our hormones kinda make us feel defeated – but you are certainly not ready for Plan B yet!! wait til your estrogen starts surging in a couple more days and you’ll feel more positive again πŸ™‚ I hope you can work out your LP, have you thought about seeing a naturopath/chinese herbalist/other to help with supplements? That’s what I’m doing next week, I get nervous about self-diagnosing too many supplements, when there are some slightly scary side-effects of some… but my doc hasn’t been very helpful, nothing showing up on blood tests, but I know my irregular cycles aren’t ‘normal’. All the best, lady!!!

@RoyalLime:  my guess is that O is still on its way – good luck!

@MrsPuddingface:  yes, temping once at the same time every day has saved my sanity too. and i find it doesn’t matter if i’ve been awake (without moving) – AND i’m less likely to wake up during the night worrying about it!

@CuriousOne:  so impressed with all your preparatory charting!!

@anotherbee:  what time do you get up? I just do my normal wake-up time during the week (6.45am) and then the same for weekends but usually go back to sleep. much easier and much more reliable!

@ChuckNorris:  i’d call that ‘nearly’ positive, but if it starts to fade out on the next couple, i’d change it to positive. yay! and – i miss you on the 6month board, i thought you were gunna hang with us πŸ™

well – my chart is wiggedy-whack – had hayfever/cold/general rubbishness for the past few days, as well as sudden transition from winter to spring temperatures and it has TOTALLY thrown my chart!!! luckily it’s early in the cycle so i don’t care too much – but it is a bit hilarious!!! Look at CD6…

@hamikay:  I temp 90 mins ontether side of 5am. I wake up alot through the night. It’s getting to be annoying so I’m changing my temping habits on my next cycle. Which apparently is going to be in about 2weeks
