I’ll join in, because I fell so far behind on the last thread!

Roll Call:

Cycles TTC:  Month 21 just ended. Lost track of cycle number. I’ve CHARTED 17 cycles, I think.

CD/DPO: Either CD42/14DPO, or CD1, depending on if this spotting turns into more.

POAS date: I don’t POAS anymore until I hit at least 18DPO. Thanks to a FF screwup this month, I POASed on Sunday, but it was negative (FF though I was 18DPO)

What is your favorite autumn/winter holiday?: I’m excited for Thanksgiving, because I love all the food, but Christmas is my all time favourite.

@rubyred605:  Hmm, that’s a tricky one. What is the reason for so many white/outlined dots? Are they inaccurate temperatures? There is a bit of a temp shift, so you may have ovulated, but its tough to say. Your CM indicates that yes, you may have O’d. Are you just coming off of BC? That, or the stress of first-cycle TTC can very easily mess things up. I know that I occasionally have LONG luteal phases for no reason (like, 18-20 days).

Cycles TTC:  12

CD/DPO: CD 31/ Haven’t O’d

POAS date: Who knows

What is your favorite autumn/winter holiday?: That’s a hard one! I think I may have to say Thanksgiving only because that’s the only holiday we share with his family and mine in the same day. Plus, I’m a black friday shopper!

@rubyred605:  Wish I had any advice for you. To me it looks like you’ve O’d, but I’m not a very experienced charter – even though I did pretty good on FF’s quiz! Hope you get an answer soon. Good luck.

@redsmarties:  Canada’s Thanksgiving is this Monday right? Enjoy!

@MrsJuneBee –

1) If I open the package, do they expire within a month? I ordered like 40 of them and hope they don’t all expire in one month!
They should all come individually wrapped within the one big package – just leave them in their individual packs until use and you should have no problems. Each pack has it’s own silica pack in there to make it last.

2) When do you test? I read some past posts and see people that test twice, using morning and afternoon but I have also read not to do first morning pee? Then I have read people that just do it in the afternoon, but I could I miss the surge? When do I do them!?!?
I usually do mine 3 times a day when I think I’m in that zone: once at work in the morning around coffee break – 10-10:30am, at work in the afternoon – around 2-3pm, then again in the evening just after dinner – around 7-8pm.

3) Can you pee on them or do you need to use a cup? I ask because I may be taking them at work! Might look funny if I keep walking into the bathroom with a stick and a cup!
Don’t pee on them, use a cup. The way the soaker part at the bottom is designed is that it’s sandwiched between 2 pieces of plastic – you’d have a hard time saturating the soaker part if you just held it in the stream of urine. I use a mug at work, and noone’s the wiser. I have a kettle in my office that I use for my morning tea, and I have 2 mugs that are identical – I hide one in my desk. I have tea in my drinking mug in the morning, then take the pee-mug to the bathroom with me at coffee time on the premise of washing the morning’s tea out of it before having another tea. I have a strip in one of my pockets (which I keep hidden in my desk also), do my thing, wash the cup, come back to my office, hide pee-mug back in my desk, make tea. If people ARE paying attention and they happen to ask, I’ll just tell them my cup-washing thing.

Cycles TTC:  Cycle #2

CD/DPO: CD37/12-16DPO (Not totally sure of O-date)

POAS date: Negative this morning, testing again in 2 days if no shark week – October 4th.

What is your favorite autumn/winter holiday?: Christmas!!!!!! It gives me the warm fuzzies – and I’m also a crazed Christmas-music fan. We should be able to play it all year long!

My temp dropped this morning from 37.22 yesterday to 37.07 today. Bad sign. Couple with stark-white-negative on FRER. Pretty sure I’m out for October. 🙁 Sad.

@rubyred605:  I’d say you ovulated just by the fact that your temps show you had 2 phases. Other than that – I am nonplussed!

@rubyred605:  Hmm is it possible you ovulated a few days later? Maybe on CD 33 the day before the big temp spike? The thing that’s tricky is if the white dots are from sleeping in and checking your temps later then that kind of changes things. If you temped at the correct time then you might have more temps below the coverline. For example your body temperature increases approx .1 degree every half hour. So for every hour you sleep in your temp will be about .2 degrees higher. This of course is just an average, but say you normally temp at 4am and your temp is 97.20. If you check it at 6am instead because you slept in you would get 97.60. Sleeping in can make a big difference.

Also, maybe take a pregnancy test? lol that could be an awesome reason for why AF hasn’t shown yet! 😉

ok, so:

I got a +opk yesterday with FMU, and then one yesterday around 5pm after a long hold. I got another + with FMU today, and then a neg one just about an hour ago after a 3-3.5 hour hold.

Temp was under coverline this morning, but went from 96.9 to 97.4. CL is 97.7. So, do you think I’ll o today, based on the + then – opks today? or do you think I might not o till tomorrow?

I’m wondering if my + this morning with FMU was just left over from the surge yesterday?

@anotherbee:  Unfortunately there’s no way of knowing until your temperatures work themselves out – so you’ll have to wait. I’d list today’s as negative though on your chart, with a note at the bottom about the positive first, and then just wait and see. I think it’s a good indication though that if you aren’t O-ing today, tomorrow would be it. Either way – get busy!!!! 😉

I missed most of the last thread– couldn’t keep up with you all! Trying to start fresh…

Roll Call:

Cycles TTC:  Sort of 2, except DH was traveling way beyond my window last month so we didn’t have any shot. So, I’ll count this as 1.

CD/DPO: CD 16. I’m pretty sure I’ll O tomorrow (fingers crossed b/c the timing would be great).

POAS date: AF isn’t due until the 19th, but we are going away on the 12th so I will probably POAS then so I know if I can have a glass of wine or not. After that weekend, I’ll wait until the 19th.

What is your favorite autumn/winter holiday?: Thanksgiving. As my brother put it, Christmas is great, but there is stress about buying gifts, etc, where with Thanksgiving, it’s just about seeing your family and eating your face off. And two things I love are family and food.
