@candy11:  You guys are so cute. It’s nice to have people rooting for me – particularly given that I can’t talk about this stuff with anyone IRL. ; ) If it were the real thing, it would be way earlier than I’ve ever had it, so I’m not too worried about that. Particularly because I’ve been really stressed this week so I’m wondering if that might even delay it.

As a random true story: I just got back from a big box grocery store (Our regional version of Walmart but a bit less shady) and I made a point to look in the toys. I’m kind of on the prowl for a small plush Muppet to have on hand to give DH when we get a BFP. Turns out they don’t exist, so I’ll have to try to come up with something else. (I checked Amazon and they don’t really exist there either. They’re all really expensive and I’m guessing it’s because they’re a few years old from when the movie came out.)

@mrspitcher8:  thank you so much for your help! This is my first cycle off birth control, first cycle charting, and first cycle TTC. So, I have no idea when to expect ovulation! So this helps!

@Mrs.LemonDrop:  Such a cute idea to have a gift for DH!  We watch a lot of How I Met Your Mother, so I am thinking of getting Barney Stinson’s guide to being a dad (that’s not what it’s called but can’t remember the actual title).  I am planning it to stick it in the back of my closet.  Smile

@SaltedCaramel:  Yeah, looking back I realize that I left out a key piece of information. I don’t know why, but DH took to calling babies “Muppets” over the last year or so while he was working on the idea of getting ready for one. So now we usually refer to them as muppets. I thought it would be cool to give him like a small plush fozzy, animial, or grover or something… But I can’t find any that aren’t huge or really expensive.

I like your idea. I’ve never seen the show though, but I think that’s a good one if you can keep it hidden away!

    @Mrs.LemonDrop:  That sounds really cute.

So a question for all you ladies this morning my thermometer took way longer time to give me my temperature, like at least twice the amount of time it normally does.  So after it finally beeped I took it again and it was about .15 degree higher. This was without really moving besides rolling over to actually get the thermometer. So which temp would you guys use? The first? the second? an Average of the two?

@JavaLava:  I’d use the first. I try to never take it a second time because it would throw myself off. (I sometimes weigh myself twice in a row and it never ends well). If it’s getting slow though, you might want to consider changing the batteries?

@FreckledFox:  haha thanks. Yeah, if you happen to come across one let me know!

Temp is back down today. All is right in the (charting) world. Oh yeah, and it’s blizzarding today. I should have bought a shovel when I was out yesterday. Oops. #MichiganFAIL

@Mrs.LemonDrop:  I’m enjoying watching the blizzard myself. How much are you predicted to get where you’re at? My forecast says 4-7″, with the highest amounts near and south of 94, so I’m guessing 5″, I’m about 30 min north of 94.

Went out with friends last night so I gotta go pick up my truck froom a friends house when DH goes to work at 1- that should be fun:) First time for the four wheel this year.

Speaking of going out with friends lat night, I’m pretty sure I O’ed yesterday because holy temp spike! Drinking usuallly gives me a 0.6 degree rise and mine went up 1.28 degrees this morning. I’ve never drank so close to O before, but I’ve become more comfortable with the consistency of my cycles so I thought- what the heck. Pretty sure that spike’s not all from the alcohol lol

@Aqualov:  Holy  temp jump! Could definitely also be an O mixed in there! I try not to drink around O time, but like  you, I’ve gotten pretty comfortable and have let it slip a few times.

I’m between the D and the airport. When I checked weather.com it said something like 3-6 or so. We’ll see. I’m having a friend who doesn’t drive over for dinner tonight, so I might make him have a pit stop to get a shovel. I’ve been meaning to grab one, I just keep forgetting!

@cant.wait.to.be.mrs.d:  Oh yes!  That’s it.  I think he will love it.  And, so fun that you will tell your families on Christmas Eve!!

    View original reply
@FreckledFox:  I’d say if you guys (or just him) watch the show he’d love it… but it’s probably not that funny if you don’t know the character already.  I haven’t bought the book yet so don’t have details of what’s in it, but that’s my guess.Smile  If he doesn’t watch HIMYM, I bet there’s another book that’s more up his alley but the same idea.

@Mrs.LemonDrop:  We are supposed to get snow too!  I am so excited to ski this winter, but ALSO excited that this will (hopefully) be our last ski season before I get pregnant!

@Aqualov:  I am super impressed that you can tell that drinking gives you a 0.6 temp spike (vs O spike).  Hoping to one day be so wise in the ways of charting!  Surprised

@SaltedCaramel:   Haha we watch the show a very little but but he is familiar with the character at least! Hmmm something to think about!

    View original reply
@JavaLava:  I would go with the first temp though I have averaged the two if I’m really doubting the first. If it sounds about right for where you are in your cycle then always #1!

@Mrs.LemonDrop:  Haha we have shovels but I sure as heck am not going out for a while! I used a square lid once and a broom when I didn’t have one. πŸ™‚ Though if you are going out, I second your idea to stop and buy one. πŸ˜‰

@Aqualov:  Woo that’s a big temp rise! πŸ™‚ probably O! Seems pretty good with your OPK!
