@IAmTheShadow:  I agree. And thanks for saying I have a chance! We’ll see…If I get a BFN I’m going to console myself with lots of wine, medium rare steak, brie, and runny eggs. πŸ™‚

@pickledplum:  Don’t feel bad for feeling vindicated! Sometimes men don’t try to understand where we’re coming from. πŸ™‚ Now he can see your side a little more and you can be on the same page in this journey. It must have been nice to see his disappointement because it shows how much he wants a little one. That’s sweet. πŸ™‚

Also, I think OPKs are a waste of money. If your cycles are that regular, and you BBT chart, there’s no reason for OPKs In My Humble Opinion.

@Evie19:  Thanks, I am leaning that way with the OPKs too. I just kind of enjoyed using them, but even with the cheap internet ones, it could really start to add up $$-wise after a few months!!

And yeah, the husband has just picked up a raging case of baby fever… it came out of nowhere! But now all he can talk about is how he saw a child at the park and it was really cute, and he can’t wait until we have to turn one room of our house into a nursery, etc. It’s adorable.

@pickledplum:  That is really adorable! I was surprised when my DH got excited about babies…the subject used to give him hives when we first got married. πŸ™‚

    Morning Ladies!

So I listented to you all and I temped during my first alarm which is at 545 am, I fell asleep while it was in my mouth and then I looked at the temp and fell asleep again, I remembered what it was when I woke up but what do you ladies do? Write it down right away? Maybe I should keep a pen and paper on my bedside table lol. Also this morning when I charted my temp it was an open dot which I know is normal but if I continue to temp at that time will it eventually recognize this as the right time?

@octoberbaby:  Yes, I write it down right away. My thermometer has a memory function too, so maybe if you need that you could get the Nexcare pink one like I have.

What do you mean by open dot?

@octoberbaby:  You have to set your new wake up time on FF. Write in “default Data” (I think) your new wake up time or else all the circles will be open.  πŸ™‚  My thermometer also has memory, but most of the time I write it in my phone. Pen and paper might be easier! PS: Try to keep your mouth closed while temping.  πŸ™‚

Question for you wise charters…. most of the time, my thermometer takes a while to settle on a reading.  I’m not timing it but I’d guess 30 seconds to a minute?  Twice now (this morning being one time) it went way faster… like 10 or 15 seconds.  Does this have any impact on whether or not the temp is accurate?  This morning I noticed that it was lower than usual so wondering if it hadn’t had enough time to heat up?  (it was 96.74 this morning.)  I have the Geratherm basal digital thermometer from Amazon.

@octoberbaby:  My thermometer has a memory function… I try to minimize the beeping because DH is a light sleeper.  It’s annoying because when it beeps when it’s done, it doesn’t light up (though it has a backlight that comes on when you turn it on).  So I just let it save and then once we’re both up, check the reading and put it into FF.

@SaltedCaramel:  When mine does that I usually take a second temp to be sure. if it’s ony moved up a .01 of a degree then I will use the first one, but most of the time it’s because I opened my mouth or something! I really have no idea why it does that.

@FreckledFox:  I should try that.  I thought about it this morning, but then was like, well, it did the ending beep series….
