@Turtle83:  “we can’t wait, as soon as we have #1, we have to try for #2”

This is exactly the way I feel.  I want to start trying for #2 right away after I recover from the birth of #1 because with my luck, it’ll still end up taking us 6+ months to conceive again.  BTW, do you take a B-Complex vitamin AND a prenatal vitamin daily?  I just started taking a B-Complex that has 400 mcg of folate (folic acid).  My prenatal has 800 mcg, but I ran out so I’ve only been taking the B-Complex since 2/15 and I don’t know if it matters.  Also, how long till you saw results from taking the B-Complex?

@wyoteacher:  Your temps on FF seem really erratic (like me) but you do appear to be ovulating (unlike me).  Have you been diagnosed with anything?  I saw you’re taking a med labeled “P” but I don’t know what that stands for.  Some women just ovulate later than others.  Your cycles may be long and that’s what’s normal for you.  Although I understand how that could be frustrating.  I also saw that you don’t take prenatals daily.  Did your OB tell you not to?  I’m just curious.  Trust me, I feel the pain of not ovulating.  At least your body does it at all.

@octoberbaby:  My husband doesn’t understand how I feel either.  I spent all of last week in bed and cried pretty much all the time.  Sometimes you have to be sad and let yourself feel those emotions.  But definitely don’t lose hope!  πŸ™‚

@mrspitcher8: .  I once had someone tell me to stop charting and I was shocked.  Since I’m irregular, I wanted the data to take to my doctor in case there was something wrong.  She adamantly told me there’s nothing wrong with me (even though there’s no possible way she could know this).  She then went on to say that I shouldn’t even attempt TTC until my cycles regulate.  From my research, that could NEVER happen!  I ignored that person and kept charting anyway and I am SOOOO happy I did!  My OB took one look at my charts and immediately ordered fertility testing for me.  Now I can start the process of fixing my body sooner rather than later.  I can’t possibly be laid-back about TTC when my gut has been telling me since before we started that there’s something wrong.  Also, congrats to your sister!  I can definitely understand how you’re feeling right now.  I’m honestly pretty terrified that one of my BILs will get a girl pregnant before I conceive.  None of them are married and only one is in a commited relationship.  I really want to give DH’s family their first grandchild.  I would be devastated if someone beat us to it, especially since we’re doing it in the “right” order!  On another note, I’ve heard of Pregnitude (see my comment to KatieBklyn below).  AND OMG, congrats on your DH’s promotion!!!!  You’ve had a lot going on lately!

@NonannaS:  I dreamt recently that I had a 7-year-old son who was competing in the Special Olympics.  And I was using Google glasses to record him, and people were getting mad at me saying that I was invading their privacy.  LOL!  Sometimes dreams are just dreams and don’t mean anything.

@SadieBee:  Wait…what is happening with nonapkns???  I can’t find this thread everyone is talking about!  (Well, I guess everything worked out.  I need to do a better job of keeping on top of this thread).

@KatieBklyn:  Welcome to the Bee!  I’m so sorry to hear about your recent loss.  How long have you been taking Metformin?  FX that next cycle you get your sticky baby!  BTW, Pregnitude contains Myo-inositol.  I did some research on this and it appears that women with PCOS may benefit from taking Myo-inositol OR D-chiro-inositol.  It depends on which one their bodies are lacking, and I’m not sure how you tell which one you need.  I would definitely talk to your Doctor before starting another supplement.

@MrsBaldEagle:  I HATE it when people comment on stuff you take to the bathroom!  I’ve had so many people comment when I take my purse.  I’m a woman!  This is a normal thing to do!  Do you want to see me carrying tampons and pads?  Then shut up about my purse, people!  Sometimes they also see me with my purse and assume I’m going to lunch, and then I have to say no and then they look at me weird like they can’t put 2 and 2 together and realize that I’m going to the bathroom, and I don’t want to have to announce it.  *Sigh.  Why can’t people give us peace?  Sheesh!

HAPPY V-DAY UPDATE: My DH and I agreed we weren’t going to do anything for V-day this year, just go out to dinner.  At some point during the day, he went to check the mail and came back with a dozen red roses and a box of chocolates.  πŸ™‚  I was sooo surprised and it really brightened my day after a hard week.  His note said: “I love you! You are my soul mate, and I’m so happy to be with you!”  He makes my heart melt.  πŸ™‚  Then at dinner, we talked about taking a spontaneous trip to Iceland this summer if I don’t get pregnant.  So BFP or not, I have something to look forward to!

@SadieBee:  Yea,  the only reason he gets the emails is because the Prime account is under his name so I basically do all the ordering through his account. But it’s funny cause I knew he would say something. Oh well! I bought him a book on Amazon for men about having a baby because my doctor wrote it and you think he even touched it? It’s been sitting on his nightstand and I was so excited at first that he was welcome to reading it. He doesnt like to read to begin with but it’s just a dumbed down, easy to read book.

@Christy42213:  I’ve been taking the Metformin for about two years now…. We haven’t been TTC for that long, but I knew I had PCOS and wanted to get it as close to under control as possible before TTC. I was also taking spirinolactone while I was still on BCP and that was great for some of my other PCOS symptoms. My endo isn’t really up on the whole world of supplements, but I’ll ask him if he has an opinion on which might be best.

@MiJeS1104:  I have a lot of guilt because I am an only child and moving across the world. My poor Mom πŸ™ We are going to spend about 1 month out of the year with her, so she says that she knows some grandparents who are closer but dont get that. Silver lining I guess. I am sure it will be SO nice to have your mom watch your future babies!

@Swizzle:  I think i will start with the B complex, in addition to the DHA, prenatal, Q10, vitamin C that I already take. I may add some more antioxidants that I am researching too. Maybe Vitex and maca root. Well will see how crazy I go at GNC in two days.

@octoberbaby:  I have been there 4 times for about a month each. I have LOVED it but living there is making me panic… a lot. So we are going to go one more time, just to make sure that is what we want. And then if we move there, we will reevaluate after 2 years.

This is the house that we have fallen in love with…… but you never know till you see it and if it is available.

@Christy42213:  I deleted the thread. Long story short, I woke up and DH wasnt in our cabin. I couldnt find him for a few hours. He was found safe and sound and we had a good laugh but i felt there might be too much to identify me on there and since I have probably said too much about my job and my CM/AF etc. I thought I should erase it. Plus, some Bees were being mean. πŸ™‚

Everyone is talking about freaking their DH out with peeing on things. Mine has been great until I started researching vitamins. I now have to sneak of to GNC to buy vitamins. For some reason, peeing on things is normal, shoving softcups in me with my legs in the air…. normal, sticking a themometer up my woo ha in the morning…. normal. Vitamins…. NOT NORMAL!

@Christy42213:  I’m actually just bad at noting my prenatal.  I do take one. πŸ™‚ I just got a blood panel done for hormone checks and nothing came back abnormal. *sigh*  My temperatures are more erratic this cycle than the last three cycles. Still waiting to ovulate. Getting impatient. If I ovulated at or after CD 35 every cycle, it would suck, but I’d know what to expect.  Last cycle was CD 20 though. !?!?! I am, however, thankful that I am ovulating on my own. Maybe tomorrow will be the day!

@NonannaS:  I’m glad to hear everything worked out fine.  My DH went missing once.  I have never been so afraid in my entire life.  I called his mother, his boss, his co-workers, the cops, every hospital in the area, etc.  I was on my way to the local police office to fill out a missing person’s report, photographs of him in hand, when I decided to stop by his work.  I talked the guard on duty into letting me upstairs to his floor and found him passed out at his desk.  His co-workers HAD JUST LEFT HIM THERE.  They claimed they thought he had gone home, but I honestly think they were lying.  Ugh, I will never forget that as long as I live.  Thank God he doesn’t work there anymore.  And OMG, I laughed so hard at your comment about vitamins.  LOL!  Guys are so funny.

@Turtle83:  Thanks for the info and the link!  I think I’ll go stock up on my prenatal again and start taking it ASAP along with the B-Complex.

@wyoteacher:  That’s great everything came back normal!  If you’ve had any kind of stress, illness, or been traveling, that could push back your ovulation date.  Hopefully your body is trying to regulate itself and you’ll ovulate soon.

Quick question girls… my prenatal has DHA. I like it okay and am thinking of buying more. But I have also been taking fish oil. Too much? Should I buy new pernatals with out the DHA (almost out anyway) and take the fish oil, or just give the rest of the fish oil capsules to my DH.

I only get to GNC in the states three times a month, so I am trying to organize everything I will need. OPK, vitamins, Pre-seed, softcups etc.

@NonannaS: I am always for taking the least number of pills. I would vote for taking prenatal with DHA and give the fish oil to your DH. He would be happy to get extra omega-3. I read that omega 3 has anti-depressing effects besides being great to the heart πŸ™‚ It’s a good thing!!

@Christy42213: I notice you don’t take OPKs, maybe taking them can help you pinpoint if ovulation is about to occur or narrow down when it should happen.

@NonannaS:  Fish oil contains DHA, so they are basically the same thing.  As for how much you should be taking, I don’t really know that I can confidently answer with a specific number.  My prenatal has 1000 mg of fish oil/capsule (430 mg of which is DHA).

@candy11:  I’ve thought about it a couple times, but since my OB confirmed that I’m not ovulating, I’m afraid peeing on sticks every day is going to be really stressful and probably depress me further when I don’t get a positive.  If she wants me to start taking a drug that induces ovulation, then I will be more likely to want to use OPKs to ensure we have good BD timing.  But thanks for the tip!  πŸ˜‰
