@Turtle83: “we can’t wait, as soon as we have #1, we have to try for #2”
This is exactly the way I feel. I want to start trying for #2 right away after I recover from the birth of #1 because with my luck, it’ll still end up taking us 6+ months to conceive again. BTW, do you take a B-Complex vitamin AND a prenatal vitamin daily? I just started taking a B-Complex that has 400 mcg of folate (folic acid). My prenatal has 800 mcg, but I ran out so I’ve only been taking the B-Complex since 2/15 and I don’t know if it matters. Also, how long till you saw results from taking the B-Complex?
@wyoteacher: Your temps on FF seem really erratic (like me) but you do appear to be ovulating (unlike me). Have you been diagnosed with anything? I saw you’re taking a med labeled “P” but I don’t know what that stands for. Some women just ovulate later than others. Your cycles may be long and that’s what’s normal for you. Although I understand how that could be frustrating. I also saw that you don’t take prenatals daily. Did your OB tell you not to? I’m just curious. Trust me, I feel the pain of not ovulating. At least your body does it at all.
@octoberbaby: My husband doesn’t understand how I feel either. I spent all of last week in bed and cried pretty much all the time. Sometimes you have to be sad and let yourself feel those emotions. But definitely don’t lose hope! π
@FreckledFox: I feel the same about
@mrspitcher8: . I once had someone tell me to stop charting and I was shocked. Since I’m irregular, I wanted the data to take to my doctor in case there was something wrong. She adamantly told me there’s nothing wrong with me (even though there’s no possible way she could know this). She then went on to say that I shouldn’t even attempt TTC until my cycles regulate. From my research, that could NEVER happen! I ignored that person and kept charting anyway and I am SOOOO happy I did! My OB took one look at my charts and immediately ordered fertility testing for me. Now I can start the process of fixing my body sooner rather than later. I can’t possibly be laid-back about TTC when my gut has been telling me since before we started that there’s something wrong. Also, congrats to your sister! I can definitely understand how you’re feeling right now. I’m honestly pretty terrified that one of my BILs will get a girl pregnant before I conceive. None of them are married and only one is in a commited relationship. I really want to give DH’s family their first grandchild. I would be devastated if someone beat us to it, especially since we’re doing it in the “right” order! On another note, I’ve heard of Pregnitude (see my comment to KatieBklyn below). AND OMG, congrats on your DH’s promotion!!!! You’ve had a lot going on lately!
@NonannaS: I dreamt recently that I had a 7-year-old son who was competing in the Special Olympics. And I was using Google glasses to record him, and people were getting mad at me saying that I was invading their privacy. LOL! Sometimes dreams are just dreams and don’t mean anything.
@SadieBee: Wait…what is happening with nonapkns??? I can’t find this thread everyone is talking about! (Well, I guess everything worked out. I need to do a better job of keeping on top of this thread).
@KatieBklyn: Welcome to the Bee! I’m so sorry to hear about your recent loss. How long have you been taking Metformin? FX that next cycle you get your sticky baby! BTW, Pregnitude contains Myo-inositol. I did some research on this and it appears that women with PCOS may benefit from taking Myo-inositol OR D-chiro-inositol. It depends on which one their bodies are lacking, and I’m not sure how you tell which one you need. I would definitely talk to your Doctor before starting another supplement.
@MrsBaldEagle: I HATE it when people comment on stuff you take to the bathroom! I’ve had so many people comment when I take my purse. I’m a woman! This is a
normal thing to do! Do you want to see me carrying tampons and pads? Then shut up about my purse, people! Sometimes they also see me with my purse and assume I’m going to lunch, and then I have to say no and then they look at me weird like they can’t put 2 and 2 together and realize that I’m going to the bathroom, and I don’t want to have to announce it. *Sigh. Why can’t people give us peace? Sheesh!
HAPPY V-DAY UPDATE: My DH and I agreed we weren’t going to do anything for V-day this year, just go out to dinner. At some point during the day, he went to check the mail and came back with a dozen red roses and a box of chocolates. π I was sooo surprised and it really brightened my day after a hard week. His note said: “I love you! You are my soul mate, and I’m so happy to be with you!” He makes my heart melt. π Then at dinner, we talked about taking a spontaneous trip to Iceland this summer if I don’t get pregnant. So BFP or not, I have something to look forward to!
