@candy11:  Oh, I don’t know yet.  I’m speculating.  So far, I have had an ultrasound where the tech said both my ovaries have a ring of pearls around them, indicating ovarian cysts, which means I likely have PCOS.  I had a blood test but I don’t know the results yet.  I’m meeting with my OB on Friday to go over the results and make a game plan.

I’m assuming if the blood test results confirm I have PCOS, that she will put me on Metformin or Clomid.  If the blood test results say I’m normal, then I don’t know what she’ll do.  Maybe she’ll put me on Clomid anyway to induce ovulation?

I think AF is starting right now, which means my cycle is really short.  I’m hopeful that’s because I’m not having a luteal phase at all.  Once I do, my cycle will probably be around a good/normal length.  And since I had one cycle that was 59 days but the past two have been under 30, I’m hopeful I don’t have PCOS and that my body is regulating itself finally after coming off birth control pills at the end of Sept 2013.  But since I began charting, it’s clear I’m not ovulating.  So something has to be done about that, right?

@Christy42213: I think you’re totally right that your body is perhaps adjusting itself after stopping the pill and producing its own hormones. Last cycle, I can see a slight temp shift on your chart though. You’re pretty conistent in taking your temps, correct? Otherwise, it’s hard to say if you are ovulating or not. It could aslo be something to do with progesterone levels being low and not allowing your temp to go up enough to see a pattern. Also, this can be related to your short LP if that’s the case. I hope you don’t have PCOS as it might be harder to treat and has a bounch of infertility effects. I am keeping my fingers crossed you hear good news on Friday. Keep us updated!!

@SaltedCaramel:  It’s called “Pickles and Ice Cream: A Father’s Guide to Pregnancy”. It just basically goes through the trimesters and explains everything that is going on and the symptoms the woman can be experiencing.

@candy11:  I would be shocked and elated if I were pregnant. But we were doing the POM so I doubt I had any chance.  Plus, had some cramping yesterday so I have a feeling AF is on her way!

@Christy42213:  Your DH sounds very sweet, it’s so important to have support. A trip sounds perfect! Iceland! that’s crazy cool! Where did you get the idea? I hope you get some answers at your appointment on Friday, you must be looking forward to it!

@NonannaS:  Ummm my jaw dropped a couple times while I was looking at that house. It’s an absolute DREAM! I really hope it works out! You must be sooo anxious to get started on your move! GOOD things are coming ๐Ÿ™‚

AFM my temp had a huge drop this morning!! I don’t think I’ve ever been so low but it’s too early to O isn’t it?? I’m only on CD8 and my last O was on CD17.. Granted it could just be a big drop but why does that happen? Please someone take a look!!

@Christy42213: Flowers, a beautiful card and a trip to Iceland. You’re a lucky girl! I’m really happy for you ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope your appointment goes great on Monday.

@NonannaS:  You made me laugh so hard with your comment. My DH is kind of like yours, he didn’t like it that I was taking baby aspirin and B-complex, he thought I was taking too many pills. When we met with my OB a couple of weeks ago to go over my results, she recommended me to start taking baby aspirin and a b-complex and I replied I was already doing it, she said that was great hehehe DH hasn’t said much about my vitamins since then.

@octoberbaby:  I think it’s too early for O. Probably just a regular ol’ dip! I get them sometimes too!

@Turtle83:  Haha You are on top of things! I think if I suggested baby aspirin to my DH, he’d be really confused. What does that help again?

@Christy42213:  I hope you get some answers soon! It seems like Metformin or Clomid could help! And Damn! Iceland?? Awesome. We’re talking about a spontaneous trip to Colorado. hehe

    TTC/TTA: TTA

    CD/DPO: 29

    Cycles TTC/Charting: 1

    Age: 26

POAS/AF Date: This is my first cycle off HBC in 11 years so I have no idea what to expect. I’m pretty sure I am not ovulating this cycle but we will see what biology has in store for me!

BFP Plan and/or Known Issues: Curretly trying to get healthier before TTC. Eating better, vitamins, working out. Have to get DH on board too. A BFP would be a surprise but we would be happy, if a little shocked!

Link to Chart: Currently charting on paper using TCOYF templates.

For Fun: I’m sick of all this snow and thinking of spring. What is your favorite thing about spring?

@FreckledFox:  Blood clotting is one of the reasons for recurrent miscarriages, and baby aspirin helps to thin the blood and prevent it.

@odelly:  Welcome!! Paper charting is way to difficult for me haha. I like technology like fertilityfriend.com. But more power to you! First cycle off BCP can be rocky. Good luck!!

@Turtle83:  Oh, I wasn’t actually sure what it did, but now that I do, I want some when we’re TTC!

Guys, I’ve never had this many days of fertile signs with no O – if we were TTC right now, I think it would be driving me nuts (aaaaaand we’d probably both be pretty worn out from all the BD).  Still no ovulation pains, but also no temp spike.  I guess I’d rather have a bunch of days of plentiful EWCM and fertile cervix than none, but seriously, what is my body waiting for?

Also, I have my appointment with my new OBGYN today – I’ll be curious to see how she responds to charting/how much attention she give to my charting data.  It seems like other ladies on here have had mixed experiences with doctors and charting.

I think this is the first time i can say definitively that i experienced O pains. Last night i was all cramps, bloated, midsection sensitive to touch, a real joy. Today? Nothing. My temp rose this morning so we’ll see if it stays up but i think its safe to say i’m in the TWW.

@SadieBee:  I haven’t really mentioned charting to my GYNO yet…. I wonder what she’d say. I did say I chart and she nodded but I don’t think she really heard me… Are you showing her your charts?

@SadieBee:  My doc was impressed that i was charting. I was like “ya i’m off birth control.”

“why? are you trying for a baby?” – doctor

“No i’m currently avoiding but will be trying soon”

“Awesome. I read a statistic were charting increases a woman’s ability to get pregnant within the first year. And if she has trouble conceiving she will be able to pinpoint in alot earlier. Good for you.” – doctor

@Swizzle:  Oh that’s great! I have an appointment for my yearly March 13th… I think I’m gonna tell her that we’re gonna TTC (last time i said nope). And see what she thinks. I might mention charting… I have a feeling she won’t really care either way. I asked about what I should know, and she said “Take folic acid, and have fun and if you aren’t KU in 6 months, see me”.
