@pinkshoes:  I feel like that is only true for people who are regular and ovulating, but I can’t say for sure.  I mean if you have very irregular cycles they can surely at least help you try to get that straightened out, which will in turn help with TTC.  I am only on my 4th cycle but I’ve been having some issues, so I made an apt to see my doc next month.  It certainly won’t hurt to ask! ๐Ÿ™‚  I know hardtoconcentrates doctor went ahead and did a full workup on her when she went in for her annual at 6 months of trying.

@FreckledFox:  i hope it’s just spotting until at least saturday! i just talked to my coworker who had her IUD taken out last september. she said her cycles have gotten gradually longer since having it out (although she doesn’t chart so it could just be delayed O). i’m wondering if mine are short because my lining is still thin. i’m going to think that’s why because it gives me hope for a longer LP in the future.

Speaking of my issues.. ๐Ÿ™  I don’t know what my body is currently doing!  I am having lots of fertile CM today, and I’m really doubting I O’d even though I’ve never had temps over 97.3 F in previous cycles without O’ing.  Here’s my chart.  If I haven’t O’d, does anyone know what spotting before O means, if anything?  I couldn’t find much about it on Dr. Google.

@terisa2012:  OK here goes – I just spent some time studying your 2 charts and doing some sums with your temps.

Last cycle you had an LP of 11 days, with an average temp in the LP of 97.67, and a coverline set at 97.38. You had 3 days of spotting in your LP.

This cycle, if you ovulated on the day you have spotted CH, you have 12 days currently in your possible LP, with an average temp in the LP of 97.26, and a coverline around 97.08. And you’ve had 3 days of spotting.

SO……since USUALLY your coverline doesn’t change much from cycle to cycle I’d say that it’s possible/probable you haven’t ovulated yet. Your last coverline was at 97.38, and your average temp the last 12 days has been 97.26. It’s still possible you ovulated, but if that’s the case then I would wonder why your temps are so low in this LP. A possible explanation for low temps and spotting in the LP is low progesterone. So IF you did ovulate and get AF, those would be things to keep an eye on. (I hope I’m not freaking you out – that’s not my intention. I’m just saying what I think) BUT, I think it’s just that you haven’t ovulated yet. Random small amounts of spotting during your cycle isn’t exactly the norm, but I also don’t think it’s anything to worry about. And as for spotting around O, that’s not uncommon at all. The only thing you can do now is wait and see what happens. If your period doesn’t show in the next 6 days and your temps remain low, then that would confirm that you haven’t ovulated yet. I hope that helps? I’m sorry it’s so unclear! ๐Ÿ™ XOX
