    @calibee79:  Not to mention, the best way to get me to be more uptight/angry/freak out is to tell me to “relax” or “calm down”.  Usually when I’m told to do those things, I am perfectly fine, but when someone says them, I feel the need to be all “You think I’m un-relaxed? YOU AIN’T SEEN NOTHIN!”

    @OldMrsMcDonald:

    @calibee79:  haha Yup! Darling Husband sure learned quickly not to utter those words unless he wants to push my buttons. That’s like the implode button for me.

    @aliciapdx:  I’m glad you have someone who can understand why you’re doing it. I actually learned about charting from my BFF, who used it as a form of prevention for 2 years. The month she decided to TTC she got pregnant right away (again). It’s a great tool to prevent if you use it properly. Also….just a heads-up on the lube thing. We have to use lube when we BD, and I tried pre-seed and hated it. Both my BFPs came during times we were using just normal store-brand lube. I think as long as you don’t use much it doesn’t make that much of a difference – especially if you’re using the pregnancy position to finish and the sperm is delivered as close to the cervix as possible.

    @OldMrsMcDonald:  Exactly that!

    @MrsPuddingface:  Interesting.  FI loves the way the pre-seed feels, guessing it’s because it’s as close to the natural thing.  When we are done having kids I think I will prob chart to prevent.  I have read mixed things on the “pregnancy position,” guessing it worked for you though.

    @Mrs.LemonDrop:  I have been super stressed over planning our vacation but all the other signs were so promising.

    @FreckledFox:  I can’t bring myself to do it either.  I guess I will just have to deal with the erratic temps for now

    @aliciapdx:  It’s how we almost always finished while TTC. It’s supposed to be the best way to position the tip closest to the cervix. It’s kind of one of those myths that floats around the TTC threads, but I know a few people who have come and gone who swear by it!

    @calibee79:  Pretty much like doggy style. The guy stands at the edge of the bed, girl is standing in front of him legs against the side of the bed, but with upper torso flat on the bed. If you have height issues (my Darling Husband is 6’4″ and I’m 5’4″) then you just adapt it to him standing at the edge of the bed and you on all fours at the edge of the bed in doggy position. I think it’s accurate that it hits the cervix, because sometimes you can feel some pressure there.

    @MrsPuddingface:  I have also heard doggy style due to how deep it is.  I have a back-tilted cervix I wonder if they makes a difference in position.  Per someone random person on babycenter.com

    It can be retroflexed (back tilted -towards your anus) or anteflexed (forward tilted) this will make a difference in terms of sexual positions. (mine was so back-tilted that they couldn’t do normal ultrasounds with my first baby). For an anteflexed uterus I would recommend “doggy” or “77” (like doggy but lying on your side) or even “scissor” (partners at 90 angle). For retroflexed “missionary” (knees over shoulders is best for getting deeper) or woman on top would be better. Basically for retroflexed you want to get the deepest penetration possible (wow I never thought I’d be typing this!). My midwife explained that things can get a bit ‘squashed’ for lack of technical term, if your uterus points backwards too far, what with your intestines pushing. After conception, you’ll probably have a lot of cramping and back pain (retroflexive) or ligament pain and “need to pee” (anteflexive) until things straighten out.

    Alright, y’all… opinion time.

    Here’s a link to my chart:  http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/oldmrsmcdonald

    Long story short: First cycle after Mirena, EWCM for last 4 days, temp drop 2 days ago.  OPKs are driving me crazy.

    Top is Monday, middle Tuesday, bottom today.  IRL, today’s test lines look exactly the same– the flash distorted them a bit.  Do you think I O’d and didn’t catch the LH strong enough, or should I test again tonight/tomorrow to be sure?

    Thanks for your advice!

    @OldMrsMcDonald:  Today’s looks super close to positive! It’s possible you surged last night and missed it (ie. OPK would have been positive early today), but I’d say test again in a few hours, and don’t drink too much in the meantime (dilute pee can give you a false negative).

    @bananasareyellow:  I tested earlier at work and the line wasn’t as dark as it was this evening.  Don’t worry about my pee, though… (TMI warning) it’s super concentrated right now because we’re having a mini-heat surge and the a/c hasn’t been on at work.  I am un/fortunate to have a full window wall in my office that faces east, so it was 93 degrees (literally) in my office this morning.  I’ve been super dehydrated, but trying to make up for sweating everything out these last 2 days, lol!
