@PunkinLover:  Wow that is terrifying!  Glad you are okay and they didn’t get away with much..  Now its better than you have a friend staying with you too.  Are you going to get an alarm system?

@NewfieBullet:  It will probably be the case unless you are able to afford both mortgages without renters. I would recommend trying to find renters before you put in an offer, as trying to find renters before our conditions need to be removed has been rather stressful!

@NewfieBullet:  Looks like CD 21 to me as well!

@lovemygsp:  Ok so I am super late to this party, but that’s soooo sweet how your DH reacted! I am so happy this is finally happening for you guys!

@OldMrsMcDonald:  I’m glad you got things all resolved! FX for you lady, hope this is your month, and I hope you have an awesome time in California! Sounds like a fun trip!

@katie395:  Aww I am sorry to hear about your mom-mom. I hope they are able to get more comfortable. It’s so hard watching someone suffer. My thoughts are with you!!

@PunkinLover:  Ohhh soooo scary!! My DH works out of town a lot and this is exactly what I am scared of! We got a dog, and that has helped me be less freaked out as I know he will bark as soon as there is someone on our property! I am glad you are OK and that it wasn’t too bad, but wow that is just really terrifying!

Why is it so exciting to get crosshairs? Gah! I’m feeling hopeful, but trying not to be too hopeful! However, this would be the absolute perfect time to get a BFP. An April due date is ideal for me as a school employee and our families are both coming to visit right before and after the second trimester would begin, meaning we could tell them in person! And this is why I didn’t get much sleep last night. Oy.

Anyway, school starts for me TODAY so even though the TWW has already been torture, it will hopefully go faster now! POAS 8/10!

@emb610:  I did!!! It gave me CD 21 as my O date, which I totally agree with! This means, even with DH away at sea, we managed to get O-2, -3, and -4.

@emb610:  It will definitely go faster now, you will have so many more distractions! Mine will go faster too, because I’m going on a course in Ontario. I probably won’t have the time or means to obsess over pregnancy symptoms on the internet!

@PunkinLover:  That is so scary! Glad you are ok! When I was in high school I actually walked in on burglers in my house! They just ran out and past me but nonetheless, it’s very scary!!

I have a couple of questions for everybody:

    1) I have been using just a regular drug store thermometer and it has seemed ok…even though it reads my temp in less than 10 seconds and sometimes only 5 seconds! Should I be worried about this? Is anyone else’s that quick?

    2) i have been bad this month and missed taking several temps. I am on third cycle post bcp and I have ovulated on cd22 and cd21 so far. Today was cd15 and I got a big spike…how likely would it be that I ovulated a full week earlier this cycle?  I will be sad I this is the case because we didn’t get any good bd’ing in πŸ™ There’s no real other explanation for the spike other than tossing and turning for 10 min before taking the temp- could this have caused a full degree change?

@Silverblade:  Yes we’ll be getting an alarm. A new garage door.  A dead bolt for the door between the garage and the house. A gun. (We’ve been talking about getting a gun for home protection anyway and this just really was the motivation needed to make that happen.) I plan to make my house a fortress. haha!

@Utopia4us:  We have a dog too.  And normally she hears everything so it’s so strange that she didn’t hear the burglars.  But I just keep thinking, if she’d gone crazy barking then I would have likely gotten up with her (I am not a worrier to my detriment sometimes) and then could have had a confrontation that I wasn’t prepared to have.

@sunnyday1:  Oh my gosh!  How scary!  If I had run into them… I might thave died of a heart attack on the spot!

And in charting news… I ended up staying at my friends house last night and forgot to take my thermometer which I’m bummed about because I think I would have gotten my temp spike today.  Oh well…

@sunnyday1:  i have a regular thermometer (it was supposedly a BBT according to the amazon description but it only has 1 decimal place). it usually takes anywhere from 15- 20 seconds to read. i think sometimes it takes longer. as for your spike, i don’t think it woould spike a whole degree from tossing and turning. i’m a horrible sleeper and i only get a spike when i O. it’s possible you O’d earlier this cycle because your body is still regulating after BCP. i had a couple cycles early on after getting my mirena out where i O’d on CD19 or 20 but now it’s been earlier (between CD11 and 14).

@FreckledFox:  That is confusing! It could be CD19 because there’s quite a temp spike after. But like you said, CD 19 and 20 don’t really match up with the rest of the post O temps. I’m sorry I’m not much help, just wanted you to know that I tried and that I’m also confused!
